10. PIZZA ROYALE 007 - $4,200

This incredible dish was prepared by Mr. Domenico Crolla who runs a restaurant named Bella Napoli. The Pizza Royale 007 is a 12-inch pizza made with some of the most expensive ingredients which includes caviar soaked in Dom Perignon champagne, Scottish smoked Salmon, Lobster marinated in cognac, venison medallions, finest prosciutto and balsamic vinegar and it also comes with 24-carat edible gold toppings.

 

9. FORTRESS STILT FISHERMAN INDULGENCE - $14,500

This oddly named food was considered to be one of the world’s most expensive dessert and was found only in the Fortress resort and spa in Sri Lanka. This expensive delicacy is based on an Italian cake base called Casaba which is decorated with expensive fillings. It has fruit infused creams, mango and pomegranate compote, Dom Perignon champagne sabayon, hand carved chocolate sculptures and decorations of edible gold and 80-carat aquamarine stone.

 

8. ENGLISH WAGYU BEEF PIE – $15,900

This is the worlds most expensive beef pie which is a traditional dish mostly consumed by the Brits but this version of the pie used expensive ingredients. This pie uses the finest available beef called as the Wagyu beef which itself costs $1000 available from Japan along with matsutakes, mushrooms black truffles, gold leaf and the final marination done using two bottles of 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild red wine which itself costs $4,200 per bottle.

 

7. YUBARI MELONS - $29,000 FOR TWO

Melons are usually very difficult to grow in Japan which makes them very costly. These melons are grown in the Yubari region of Hokkaido which bought by the president of a fruit and vegetable packaging company for a whopping $29,000 to commemorate his firms 30th anniversary. This melon was later kept for display and then cut and served for free to customers.

 

6. SERENDIPITY FROZN HOT CHOCOLATE - $25,000

Sold by a restaurant named Serendipity in New York. This hot chocolate is made by the combination of 28 expensive chocolates from Africa and South America with 23-carat gold shavings and a truffle imported from France. This delicacy is sold in a crystal goblet with 18-carat gold bracelet and the spoon itself is made of gold.

 

5. THE KING TACO - $25,000

Sold by the Grand Velas Frida restaurant and made by chef Juan Liguria Acala. This taco is made with Kobe beef and langoustine which is a type of prawns found in Norway with black truffle brie cheese added to mix with salsa made with exotic Morita Chilli peppers.

 

4. ALMA’S CAVIAR - $32,000

The Alam’s caviar is made from the pure white eggs of an endangered fish the Albino beluga sturgeon which is only found in the Caspian Sea. The eggs must also be harvested and should be at least 100 years old and thus it makes Alma’s caviar one of the most expensive food in the world. This caviar also has its name in the Guinness book of world records for being the most expensive caviar.

 

3. LINDA THILE COUNTRY HOUSE PUDDING- $35,000

Linda Thile Country House is a restaurant in UK. This fancy pudding is made from four varieties of Belgian chocolate which are considered the best anywhere infused through this special blend are essences of peach, orange and Whiskey along with gold leaves and champagne soaked caviar. This is served in an edible Feberge egg and topped with an actual diamond.

The White Alba Truffle found only in the Lung Haiya Montferrat areas of Italy is one of the priciest foods on Earth. They ate extremely hard to cultivate and highly south-after. The white Alba truffles are recognizable by its cream-coloured flesh and distinctive marbling.

 

1. LIQUID GOLD - $275,000

The worlds most expensive food is actually a beverage and there is very few of it that actually exists in the world. It’s a 1907 hi-tech far from the world’s oldest champagne. These bottles of champagne remained at the bottom of the ocean for nearly 80 years after a ship wreck and fortunately the conditions down the ocean were ideal for Champagne storage and the pressure inside the bottle and outside was the same.
