The Rasool S.A.W is a model of tolerance. He s.a.w never wished ill for anyone. Hazrat Ayesha R.A said that the Rasool s.w.a never took revenge upon anyone. Abu Sufyan was the worst enemy of lslam before he became a Muslim. At the conquest of Makkah the Rasool s.w.a not only forgave him but also honoured him by declaring amnesty for those who took refuge in his house.
When the Rasool S.A.W went to taif preach islam , the people there threw stones at him. Hazrat jibrael a.s asked the Rasool s.a.w on the occasion of trial," O muhammad s.a.w speak ,if you so wish, i will destroy them ". The rasool s.a.w replied, o gracious and mercifull allah , show them the right path, for they do not know what they are doing. They do not recognize me. They do not know I am Muhammad s.a.w the Rasool of Allah.
Make it know to them that I am their great well-wisher". We should follow the teachings of our Rasool s.a.w. We learn from his life how much tolerance he s.a.w practised.
The Rasool s.a.w showed great tolerance throughout his life .He s.a.w even prayed for his enemies and for those who troubled him.
in his last address, the Rasool s.a.w said "Revenge for bloodshed as was custom in the days of ignorance before Islam, is forbidden. I forgive those who murdered my cousin, ibna-Rabiah". Hazrat Ans Bin Malik R.A said "i served the Rasool s.w.a of Allah for 10 Years. By Allah, he s.a.w never objected to any thing i said or did"
We, as Muslims should follow the noble example of the tolerance of our to lack of tolerance. This menace can only be cured by following the noble examples set by our beloved Rasool Hazrat Muhammad ( P.U.B.H)
