Health Secretary reprimanded
The court on Monday slammed the country's Health Secretary Captain (RDT) Zahid Saeed. Saeed believed that the Health Department could neither devise measures for population control nor implement them. The court also ordered the concerned department to submit a progress report every three months. The Secretary told the court that a plan has been prepared to control the population growth rate, under which the population growth rate is to be reduced to 1.5 percent by 2025.
But here in India this problem is seen from the point of view of Hindu and Muslim. No political party wants to come forward to solve the problem, fear the vote bank.
The problem can take serious forms and hence it should be resolved as soon as possible. If a sensitive court can do this in Pakistan, then why not in India?
