WORLD PHARMACIST DAY:
World Pharmacist Day celebrated worldwide to promote and appreciate the role of the pharmacist in improving health all over the world. At the 2009 International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) council meeting of the FIP Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, the Turkish Pharmaceutical Association suggested annually celebrating a World Pharmacist Day on 25th September every year. It was frame worked by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) council at the 2009 World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Istanbul, Turkey. 25th September chosen because it is the date that FIP came into existence in 1912. The celebration journey started in 2010. The year-wise themes:

NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK IN INDIA:
Generally, every year National Pharmacy Week (NPW) observed the third week of November. NPW recognizes the pharmacists who involved their professional works such as hospital and clinical pharmacy (patient care), health care, pharmacists, community and retail pharmacists, pharmaceutical academicians, pharmacists related to manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, formulation and development, research and development, etc. Every year NPW comes with a particular theme for awareness of the ordinary people. All pharmacy colleges, pharmaceutical associations like the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA), Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP), etc. celebrated NPW in India. During the NPW, some institutions and associations organized local health camps and pharmacy rally. NPW also provides information about the role of pharmacists in various sectors.
