Generation Gap

Generation refers to a period of time which you spent in a part of your life. Normally in our society people consider three generations one is the      generation of your grandfather then your father and then yours. In today’s world it is difficult for all the generations to live together happily having similar thoughts. Their thoughts will definitely differ. There will be clash among their thoughts and ultimately among themselves. So to maintain happiness any one generation has to sacrifice their thoughts and dreams and usually it’s always the elders who sacrifice their dreams. 

Now the problem is the age difference or the gap between there generations. This vast age difference causes misunderstanding between the people of different generations. This usually occurs between grandparents and grandchildren and sometimes between parents and children also. The main problem is that grandparents and parents have thoughts prevailing in their time which the children may think is not correct. Hence they argue with their elders which create a clash between them which leads to a great disturbance. 

The children of today’s world will always think of modern ways to solve something. Whereas the parents will think of old ways which may be write but since it doesn’t match will the children they will consider it wrong. Sometimes the sense of dressing and clothing are not liked by the parents and when they protest children think that their parents aren’t providing them freedom. 

So these were some examples where there is an bad effect of generation gap. So in my opinion both parents and children have to sacrifice some thing if they want to live together happily. 

They must respect their elders they must follow their words and they must serve them in their old age. And the children having these qualities are known as idle children or grand children.
