WHAT ARE THE STEPS OF DOING RIGHT STUDY?

Every task should have a sense of purpose or motive behind it. Your motive will define the motivation level to achieve that task, ultimately building up your attitude. Also, keep the following things in mind: they will help build a positive attitude towards your preparation.

Determination:-THe most common difficulty in studying is the simple failure to get down to regular concentrated work. It is hard to make a start. Your internal and external motives should impel you to start and complete the work. Take it up as a challenge. Prove to yourself and others that once you have started preparing for an examination, you have the determination to succeed in it.

Make Studies a Habit: To work regularly and continuously throughout the year, try to make studies your habit. To get into the habit of studying, make sure that you experience satisfaction at the beginning of your preparation. So start with your favorite subject and topic. When you find weariness approaching, rouse yourself and remember that you have to do in vain if you give up all that.

Interest and Enjoyment:- When you find a subject interesting and enjoyable, you desire to learn more. The more you learn about a subject, the easier it becomes. Your interest and enjoyment of the subject increase if you focus upon its relevance in your everyday life. Do not restrict yourself to just learning the subject for an hour or so every day, but try and relate it to your life as a whole.

                                                        Long-term and Short-term goals

Whenever I talk about goals and planning, it reminds me of the story of a Topper who had his education from a small village. A couple of months back, I traveled to Rajasthan; the objective was to meet and interview the student who had topped IIT-JEE. He lived in a village that was between Jaipur and Kota. He lived in a village that had no roads. He lived in a village which had electricity only 2 years back. To reach his village, I had to get down on the bus and travel 1 km on foot. When I entered his village, what I could see was mud houses. I was so inspired by the feeling that 'how can anybody prepare and top in a competitive exam in such an adverse situation?' when I met the student, I immediately asked the boy, "what is your secret of success?" The boy took me to his study room and pointed to a white chart which was pasted on the top of his study table, and said, "sir, this is my secret of success."

The next step is defining your goals and working out a sound and feasible plan on how to achieve your goals. The most common difficulty students face is a failure to get down to regular, concentrated work. This difficulty is much greater for those who do not work on a plan. Many students muddle along, studying one subject or another as the mood takes them on or letting their work pile-up until the last possible moment and the reason is very simple they do not have a written plan with them.
