Top 10 Indian National Leaders.


1-) Dada Bhai Naoroji ( 1825-1917)---
Dadabhai Naoroji was an outstanding national leader of India. He established the East India Association in London to spread nationalist views on various problems affecting India.


2-) Pherozeshah Mehta (1845-1915)--
Pherozeshah Mehta was one of the most outstanding leaders of the Indian National Congress. He laid the foundation of the freedom movement along with Dadabhai Naoroji and Surendra Nath Banerjee.
  Pherozeshah Mehta was the maker of modern Bombay ( Mumbai).


3-) Surendra Nath Banerjee---  
Surendra Nath Banerjee was one of the prominent early Nationalist leaders. He was born in Bengal. After completing his education, he qualified for the ICS examination. He was elected President of the Indian National Congress twice (1895 and 1902).


4-) Gopal Krishna Gokhale (1866-1915)--------
He was one of the pioneers of the Indian freedom movement. He was one of those leaders who changed the destiny of India. Bal Gangadhar Tilak once said," he was the diamond of India, the jewel of Maharashtra and Prince of workers." 
   He was born in Kolhapur in Maharashtra in 1866. He became a graduate at the age of 18 years.


5-) Bal Gangadhar Tilak (1856-1929)--
Bal Gangadhar Tilak is known as the father of the Radical Nationalism or Assertive Nationalism. He was one of the famous trio of the leaders fondly called ' Lal- Bal- Pal.' He was the first to declare, " Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it."
  He was born in a brahmin family of Ratnagiri in Maharashtra on July 23, 1856.


6-) Lala Lajpat Rai (1865- 1928)-----
Lala Lajpat Rai was born in a vaishya family in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. He was a great Indian freedom fighter and social worker. He earned great name and fame as a lawyer at Lahore. 
   He was at the forefront of the Arya Samaj Movement. He laid the foundation of DAV College, Lahore, Pakistan.


7-) MohanDas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948)------
Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869, at the Porbandar in Gujarat in a pious and religious family. His father was the Dewan of Rajkot state. He was married to Kasturba Gandhi at a young age of 13. After passing his matric, he went to England to study law. 
   He returned to India in 1890 as a lawyer. He started his practice at Rajkot, but later time, he shifted to Mumbai.
    On January 30, 1948, he fell victim to the bullet of a Hindu fanatic. He is popularly called 'Bapu' and hailed as the 'father of the Nation.'


8-) Jawaharlal Nehru (1889- 1964)-----
Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh). He was the only son of a great freedom fighter and a famous lawyer, Motilal Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru was the President of the Indian National Congress in 1929 at its Lahore session. At his historical session.
   He became the first Prime minister of India ( 1947- 1964).


9-) Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel ------
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875, at Nadiad in Gujarat.vAfter his early education, he went to study law in England. He returned to India and set up a flourishing practice in Ahmedabad as a barrister.
   He is popularly called the " Iron Man of India. He passed away at the age of 75 in 1950.


10-) Subhash Chandra Bose ( 1897 - 1945)------
Netaji was influenced more by Lokmanya Tilak and Sri Aurobindo. He disagreed with Gandhiji's method of achieving Independence through non- violence.
    On August 17, 1945, Bose died in a plane crash while flying from Bangkok to Tokyo. He did not live to see the Indian Independence, but his spirit still lives through his words- Jai Hind.
