How To Sleep Better And Improve Your Overall Health - You Just Have To Focus On Circadian Health

With time, people have started isolating themselves. Many people have stopped hitting the gym, waking up on time, dressing up, going to work, coming back home, etc. This self-isolation is hurting our lives. We are becoming frightened and confused. As a result, we would not get sound sleep or even become insomniac. It is high time to find a rhythm to relax.

What is Circadian Health?

Circadian rhythm is like an internal human body clock. This clock is running 24/7 in the human body. This clock is always ticking in your mind. It does not matter what you are doing; it is running in the background. As the clock has minutes and hours, this clock has fatigue and alertness. It tells your body when to sleep or wake up.

However, our circadian rhythm is a bit hard to understand than the sleep/wake upstate. Some adults who work at night usually face energy dropping in their bodies in the middle of the night. It could be between 1-4 am in the night. This is when they can fall asleep quite fast, while others might not sleep during this period. So, it varies from person to person if the routine and lifestyle are different.

How is circadian rhythm controlled?

Hypothalamus is the thing that controls circadian rhythm. However, it is quite affected by environmental factors like darkness and lightness in the place you live in. When you are in a dark space or outside in the evening, the darkness falls on your eyes. This darkness will signal your hypothalamus that it is time for you to get some sleep. So, your brain will start releasing melatonin, which is a hormone that makes you fall asleep. This is the main reason behind feeling tired and energy dripping at night.

What disturbs your circadian rhythm?

Several things can disturb your circadian rhythm and make you feel tired throughout the day or at a specific period of the day. Disturbance in your lifestyle and routine can also have a huge impact on your circadian health.

Frustration, anxiety, stress, and other problems of life can keep you awake all night. You may get insomniac with time. Similarly, when you start sleeping at irregular times in the daytime, it will disturb your circadian health.

As you age, the rhythm of your sleeping will change naturally. Your overall health will also change your rhythm. Due to this reason, the sleeping pattern of an adult is different from the sleeping pattern of a child.

If you do not want your circadian health to disturb, you have to focus on your body and lifestyle. You should eat healthily and start worrying less. The more you will feel easy to get sleep, the more you will feel easy to wake up.

Final Words

Those who pay attention to their bodies, eat healthily, exercise, worry less, enjoy their lives to the maximum, and spend quality time with their loved ones; will have good circadian health.
