Legally Blonde is a comedy and romance movie released in 2001. I heard many good things about this movie. So today I had nothing better to do so I decided to watch this movie, and it was really a good movie. I really loved it.
Plot
Ellie Woods, a fashionable sorority queen who was really excited about her engagement with her boyfriend Warner, goes to a hotel for a proposal. Warner brings her to the hotel, and while at the hotel, he dumps her, saying that she is not serious and would be disliked by his family members. To be the girl her dear Warner would desire, she decides to educate herself on the law to stop being a fun girl and start being serious. She goes to Harvard and finds out that there is much more to her than just her looks.
Acting
The acting in this movie is just great. I was really expecting this movie to be about a dumb blonde stereotype that we get a lot of time. I don't really find that fascinating or enjoyable, but this movie hit the nail on the head. Reese acting as the dumb blonde was just good. The facial expressions were hilarious. The body language really conveyed the information to the viewer pretty well. The way the blonde turns from a girl who is just crying about her boyfriend to the amazing person that solves the case at the end. It was executed so well. The fashion blonde and the lawyer blonde just felt like a different person to me. The acting was just amazing.
Color
This movie was really colorful. I really love colors, and most of the movies that actually are too colorful. This movie really gave me that feeling—the feeling when I was watching through the screen. I felt like I washed my eyes with color. And the colors weren't really thrown around just for the sake of looking cool. I mean, the main character in this movie is someone who loves fashion. I really loved the dresses in the show. They looked really gorgeous.
Tone
This is a thrilling movie. I feel like the tone was really well executed in the movie, considering how happy it is. The tone of the movie is what got me hooked immediately. The song that plays at the beginning of the movie It's called "Perfect Day." And when the music plays in, you're immediately gonna get the idea what's the tone of the movie is gonna be about.
Message
The movie's entire message is that you're just more than your looks; throughout the movie, we see that Elle is just too obsessed with getting her boyfriend back. She wears clothes that people in her college find weird. She loves fashion. As we progress through the show, it is revealed that she is extremely hardworking and intelligent. She has just been wasting her entire life on how pretty she looks. So her being in law school and later becoming a lawyer, she realizes that people just valued her looks and boobs, and she realized that she was much more than her looks, and she wants other people to acknowledge that.
