What is the Secret Behind Maintaining a Healthy Weight Loss?

Half of the people in Denmark are overweight, and 17 percent live in obesity. Worldwide, about 40 percent are overweight, and 13 percent are overweight.

This condition is associated with an increased risk of premature death and sequelae such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and infertility.

Weight reduction will likewise be trailed by weakness and consistent sleepiness. To date, no definite research has been found on the best treatment for weight loss.

Researchers at the University of Copenhagen and Hvidovre Hospital have completed a new, impressive study, published in the world's most widely quoted medical journal, The New England Journal of Medicine. By examining four types of treatment following weight loss caused by diet, researchers first show how underweight people lose weight for a long time, says Professor Signe Torekov in the Department of Medical Sciences.

In a randomized clinical trial, a team of researchers demonstrated the most effective treatment for weight loss caused by diet by combining moderate and strenuous exercise with dietary obesity, an analog of the anti-GLP-1 hormone.

"This is new information for specialists, dietitians, and actual advisors to use by and by. This is proof that we were lost," explained Signe Torekov, who led the study.

Anorexia increases at the same time as decreasing energy use, and this counteracts weight retention. Thus, when obesity treatment is focused on how to lose weight - rather than how to maintain weight - it is difficult to do anything about your condition," says Signe Torekov.

WIt works best when combined with treatment

215 Danes who are overweight and underweight are participating in the study. Participants first followed a low-calorie diet for more than eight weeks, during which they each lost about 13 kg, which brought about significant improvements in their health with low blood sugar and blood pressure.

Participants were periodically divided into four groups. Two groups received a placebo treatment, while the other two groups received obesity medication. Between the two placebo groups, one group followed a 150-minute exercise program with moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of high intensity during the week or a combination of the two, while the other gathering kept up their present degree of actual work. The two groups receiving anti-obesity drugs are equally divided into one group and one group other than the exercise program.

All study participants were screened on a monthly basis and received healthy diet and diet-based weight loss advice based on guidelines from health management and Danish diets.

After one year, the exercise group alone and the overweight group alone maintained a 13 kg weight loss and health improvement. The placebo group gained half the weight back from the decline of all risk factors, for example, the development of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Significant improvements were made in the cohort, which followed an exercise program and received medication for obesity. Researchers have observed further weight loss in this group, and the total weight loss was almost 16 kg over a year. The health benefits were doubled for every treatment, i.e., twice the weight loss while maintaining muscle mass, highstamina levelsa, lowering blood sugar, and improved health quality.

The two exercise groups increase their stamina, lose weight, and gain muscle mass. This could indicate a healthier weight loss than people who had only lost fat without increasing their fitness level.

“It’s an important factor to highlight, because you don’t get a healthy body in weight loss if, at the same time, you lose a lot of muscle,” Signe Torekov said.

"It is extraordinary information for general wellbeing that a critical weight reduction can be kept up with practice for around 115 minutes out of every week performed for the most part at a fiery power, like cycling. And that by combining exercise with obesity medications, the effect is twice that as per treatment."

Through research, researchers now hope that people who are overweight, as well as their caregivers, can create a useful framework for maintaining weight loss.

A fundamental change in lifestyle

Signe Torekov calls attention to that numerous individual who is overweight have attempted to get more fit previously, yet just to put on weight. This happens because the most common advice is to eat healthier and exercise more.

"Aside from following whether individuals approach work out, treatment won't be sufficient. Therefore, we also follow up with participants on a regular basis to make sure they get the support they need to exercise. That is necessary because maintaining weight loss is very difficult. People need to understand this. , you are not cured. "Continuous exercise and exertion will need to continue for many years," said Signe Torekov.

"Our research also shows that without a formal treatment program, there is a high risk of back weight gain. There have been 12 individual consultations.
