Human Psychology

Human psychology is the study of human minds and their behaviors. We, humans, can act and react to different things as per different situations. It is also a profession for psychologists. Scientists are always curious to read and research human minds. Many books have been written on psychology that is proven scientifically. With the evolution of humans, their thoughts and behaviors also change.

Importance of human psychology

Humans have different emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, hatred, cry, surprise, fear, etc. There are mixed reactions that humans show as per the mental conditions and the thoughts running in their minds. To understand those sophisticated minds and behavior of humans, we study human psychology. It also makes our task more manageable.

Feelings, thoughts, and actions in mind vary from a newly born baby to an old age person. The behavior of an older adult cannot be like a baby. So, human behavior changes from a baby to a mature person. It also helps us to perceive the world around us. The study of psychology also explores our minds and how it works.

Humans have both positive and negative emotions like happiness and sadness, love and hate, relief and stress, belief and unbelief, pleasure and pain, etc. We will study all these emotions and behaviors in Human psychology.

Types of human psychology

Cognitive -

It is the study of thinking, perception, understanding, memory, reactions towards their environment & learning. This psychology helps us to perform our day to day activities and also helps us to understand our situation. Some people perceive how a person is more successful, while some will see the beautiful nature of the earth. Some people focus on weaknesses while some focus on their strengths. It also includes self-observation and observing the environment.

A businessman observes the needs of their customers and acts accordingly to run their business more successfully. A teacher remembers the faces of students by their performance. We solve any problem through the proper examination of a problem. We learn by observing more successful people.

Forensic -

This psychology deals with the application of clinical psychology and law to solve a problem. It involves investigation, assessment, research study, preparing reports, etc. For example, this psychology examines the guilty nature of doing a crime. This psychology consists of the law, and psychologists work with the victim. They may be offenders, criminals, abusers, threats, divorce, etc. related to law. This study of this psychology also helps the psychologist to examine the mental condition of a criminal to commit a crime again—this related human behavior with their sin.

Social -

This psychology is related to a person's way of thinking, feeling, and behaving in the presence of others. This psychology studies the effect of a person's interaction with other humans in their environment. This helps in solving various social problems. This psychology deals with the change in the attitude of a person in society. Some personality traits are inborn in a person who comes from their parents and family.

Some mental illnesses are transferred from parents to their offspring. Our friends influence us. It also involved our behavior with others. The act of a person is also affected by his social culture and the person surrounded by the type of people. Family, society, friends, etc. are the social factors that influence a person's feelings, thoughts, and behavior.

Developmental -

This psychology is about how humans grow, develop, and become a mature person through the span of life. This involves the change of feelings, thoughts, and behavior during the growth of a person in his life. A person grows like an infant, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. So, their thinking and behavior change throughout their life.

A child can easily trust a person while an adult can easily judge a person. A child has a growing mind while an adult has a developed brain. When a person grows, they learn to live in a society and also becomes self-independent. Adolescence fights to get importance in life. They quickly get frustrated when their needs are not fulfilled. An infant child always needs her mother, and she is the most trustable person in this stage.

Difference between psychiatry and psychology.

Psychiatry -

Psychiatry is a medical degree. Medications treat all mental problems related to emotions, abnormal behavior, or mental illness. Unexpected issues like panic attacks, headaches, hallucinations, etc. are handled by Psychiatrists by prescribing medicines. A psychiatrist brings their patients in a positive mental state by eliminating negative emotions or effects from their minds. They treat their patients through proper counseling and medications.

Psychology -

Psychology is the science of the human mind and behavior. Psychologists understand a human through observation, counseling, taking interviews, etc. They understand humans and how a person relates their thoughts to their environment. They help their patients with their knowledge and advice. They also help by teaching and giving preventive measures.
