Shiney Ahuja Rape Case
Shiney Ahuja was one of the most popular and talented actors of the early 2000s. He got the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his film "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi" in 2003 and has worked in popular movies like Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, and many more. However, controversy struck the actor in 2009, when he was accused of rape by his 19-year-old housemaid. He initially denied the claim and was supported by many of his colleagues, including his wife Anupam, all of who contended that he was wrongfully being accused. However, when the forensic reports proved that the young housemaid had been forced, Shiney admitted to his wrongdoing and stated that he was unaware of the consequences of his actions. He was sentenced to seven years of prison in 2011.
Shakti Kapoor Sting Operation
We all know Shakti Kapoor from famous films like Rocky, in which he played a villainous character, Raja Babu, for which he got the Filmfare for Best Comedian, and many more. However, Shakti Kapoor was involved in one of the most infamous sting operations Bollywood has ever seen. Shakti Kapoor was exposed in a sting operation. He was taped demanding sexual favors from a journalist, who had posed as a struggling actor, and in return, promised her roles in Hindi movies. Kapoor claims the posing journalist tried to woo him. He admits that he played along with it as he found the young lady tempting. After the video of the sting became viral, Kapoor was banned by the Film & Television Producers Guild of India. Nevertheless, the ban was lifted a few days later.
Monica Bedi Case
Monica Bedi debuted in 1995 with the Telugu film Taj Mahal. She has also worked in hit films like Jodi No.1 and Ek Phool Teen Kante. Monica Bedi was the girlfriend of underworld don and terrorist Abu Salem, who was found guilty of playing an influential role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, which killed over 300 people. The two were arrested at a hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, by Interpol. Allegedly, they had forged their passports and entered the country on fabricated documents. They were extradited to India in November 2005. Monica had to spend four years in prison, two of which were in Portugal.
Riya Sen-Ashmit Patel MMS Scandal
Riya Sen is the daughter of Bharat Dev Varma, a descendant of the Royal family of Tripura. She has acted in many popular films like Jhankaar Beats and Ragini: MMS Returns. However, she is most famously remembered for her MMS with Ashmit Patel, which went viral in 2005. The MMS showed the couple performing compromising acts. Riya denied being the girl in the clip, and the couple split afterward.
Mika Singh And Rakhi Sawant Controversy
All of us know this one, which proves that this is one of the most controversial things that happened in Bollywood. In 2006, Mika Singh threw caution to the wind and kissed Rakhi Sawant on the lips during his 29th birthday celebration. Rakhi registered a case of molestation against him. When questioned, Mika asserted that Rakhi had kissed him first.
