Is Bangla cinema present the real picture of society, culture, politics and tradition?

Movie or cinema can influence human beings more than any other thing in the world. The movie is called Cinema in Bangladesh. Cinema will present the culture, tradition, politics, and history of Bangladesh. A cinema can justify the background of any country’s image. Bangla Cinema is the mirror of Bangladesh around the world.An analysis showed that the Bangla cinema couldn't fullfill the demand for Bangladeshi culture.A research study showed that among the 10 Bangla cinema,80% of cinema’s story based on social issues or romance,10% based on politics,10% on others.

In these years’ culture, tradition, politics, and history of Bangladesh were not presented most of the movies. In this decade, the Bangla cinema was the worst position because there were many cinemas producing each year without any kind of quality. Most of the cinemas in this (2005-2015) 10 years were obscene in their nature; as a result, there was no audience in the cinema halls of Bangladesh. Most of the cinemas at this time are not commercially successful.The halls are not getting any benefits from this industry. The film industry of Bangladesh was totally gone underwater in this decade. There are so many limitations on our Bangla cinema making, marketing, and promotional stages. The government and other cinema related bodies should come forward to save our historical and glorious cinema industry.

Film or movie or cinema is such kind of powerful tool that can influence every way of human life. The cinema is a mirror of any country; one can justify a nation by watching their cinemas. The movie will present the culture, traditions, rules, regulations, politics, social-economical and personal issues, history and background of any country, and even personal opinion of any citizen, etc. There is a hounded of researches regarding the Bangla cinemas in Bangladesh, but there is no research regarding how our cinema is presenting our culture, politics, tradition, and history by using these powerful tools. In this research, the researcher will try his best to determine how our Bangla cinema represents our own culture, tradition, and history from the beginning of our independence in 1971 till now 2017. 

Though Bangladesh has tried to improve the cinema and cinema halls. There are two big Cineplex Blockbuster at Jamuna Future Park and Star Cineplex at Bashundhara shopping mall with the latest screening technology almost the same quality as Cineplex in the UK and Ireland, and other developed countries. Since Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan in 1971, local cinema halls have been banned from showing Indian films and other films. It was an attempt to protect the local film-making industry, which is worth $20m. In recent years, the number of cinema halls in Bangladesh has reduced from about 1,500 to just over 600 rapidly.

To promote the cinemas in Bangladesh, we need qualified production houses. Production houses and distribution houses have helped Bangladeshi movies to reach a national and international platform, releasing films and distributing them to audiences all over the world .Till now, there are more than 100 production houses in Bangladesh, but few have managed to be successful in promoting the Bangla cinemas and capturing the national and international market of films. Impress Telefilm Ltd., Khona Talkies, Monsoon Films, Jaaz Multimedia, Tiger Media Limited, The Abhi Pictures, Fatman Films, and others are the well-known production houses for Bangladeshi cinemas.
