How Bill Gates Becomes Millionaire?

Welcome, all of you, dear readers, to the next stage of my unique journey. So, as you all must know, we started a great journey in the last few days. In which we were trying to understand the biggest rivalry of the modern world. Those who are reading my article for the first time, let me tell them that this is the second article in the Tech War series. The first article has been published for the very first time. So please read it first, then read it, then you will understand more. Below this article, you will find a link to previous articles. You can find many articles about work there. So people who have read my previous article will be aware that the last article ended with many questions. Many people will have many queries like, how did Steve Jobs and Bill Gates meet? And how did these two become rivals? So I will try to answer all your questions in this article. So let's start.

Apple 2 Computer

When Bill Gates got the news of the success of Apple 2, he started working on how to make this technology even better. After doing a lot of market research, he came to the conclusion that Apple 2 is a boon for personal users but still it is quite complicated from the business point of view. Because Apple 2 is not at all compatible with business software. Bill Gates saw this problem as an opportunity and started looking for a solution to this problem. Bill Gates found the solution to this problem, which was a soft card. This was a soft card on which business programs were written, so that business software could be easily operated on Apple 2.

Microsoft's softcard

Bill Gates now wanted to meet Steve to explain his new soft card. Now, these two great personalities were to meet for the first time and this meeting was going to change the life of both of them. This meeting will not only affect these two in the future, but was also going to completely change the tech world. During their meeting, Bill asked Steve "Do you know computer coding or programming?" So Bill was surprised to hear Steve's answer, his answer was "No, I actually hire computer coders and programmes. During this conversation, Bill Gates presented his new soft card to Steve and explained the benefits of it. Steve Jobs was very impressed with that soft card and the deal between the two became possible. Actually, due to this soft card, now Apple 2 became a business machine, on which programs like worksheet, spreadsheet could easily operate. So by making soft cards for Apple 2, both companies get benefited.

IBM Headquarters

But Bill Gates was not one to be happy with this. They still wanted to do something big. There is a phrase that for the first victory, work hard as if there is nothing to lose and after success, work again as if you did not succeed. Bill Gates got that golden opportunity as IBM. Actually, IBM wanted to come in the field of personal computers at that time and they were looking for an operating system. And he chose Bill Gates for the job. A few days later Bill and IBM owner meet. Bill Gates felt that IBM might need a programming language. But when he meets the owner of IBM, he is shocked when he realizes that IBM needs the operating system. Here you cannot live without praising Bill Gates's business policies. In fact, during this meeting, when Gates learns that IBM needs an operating system, he also knows that he does not have an operating system. However, Bill Gates promises to give the operating system.

MS-DOS

From now on, it is the beginning of the war from time. Because Bill Gates was looking for an operating system. He did not have the time to build it. So they try to find any operating system from anywhere and the effort is successful because they find out that there is someone nearby who has the operating system. On hearing this, Bill reaches to meet that person. Actually, Bill wanted to buy it and that person did not want to sell it. Actually, he did not even know what the value of this operating system should be. Bill then said that I am willing to give you 50,000 $ of this operating system. Actually, that person never thought that he would get so much money in exchange for this small device and that innocent person sells the operating system to Bill. Then later Bill removes the drawbacks of that operating system, adds some new features to it and gives it a new name MS-DOS. They sign the deal with IBM after it was built. IBM needed this operating system so much that the Bill added a new provision to the deal and IBM had no objection to it. In this provision, it was written that Microsoft could sell this operating system to IBM as well as many other companies. Actually, it was made in such a way that they could work on any computer and it was the deal that made Bill Gates own 350,000,000 $ at the age of thirty and made Microsoft the strongest company of that time. And actually from here, the beginning of a rivalry takes place.

In fact, after the success of Apple 2, Steve Jobs felt that no other company in the field of personal computers would ever achieve another company like Apple inc. But when Bill Gates signed a million-dollar deal with IBM, Steve also understood that the competition was going to be tough.

Jef Raskin

A few days later Jef Raskin, a computer engineer by profession at Apple inc. Advises Steve that "you should go to see Xerox, hear that people research new innovative ideas and some new machines." Upon hearing all this, Steve Jobs immediately walked towards Xerox. On arriving at Xerox, a device on the table caught his attention. It was like a common computer in appearance. But a new component was also attached to this computer. Whenever there is a movement on the component, then there is also movement on the pointer on the monitor. Yes, you are guessing right, this component is a mouse. Another feature in this device was that whenever a command is given to open a program, it was opened as a window and in such a way you could operate many windows simultaneously. Actually, all this was the magic of GUI (Graphic User Interface). Steve's journey was actually going to create many opportunities. Steve felt that this device would make it easier for people to operate computers and through this, they could outperform the rivalry with Microsoft. Actually, it was a device that would give computers the form that we are aware of today.

Xerox Headquarters

But we will discuss it some other day. Don't know when? But soon. I know that many questions will be starting up in your mind now. I will tell you in the next article how this rival got a new look. In this segment, we learned that opportunity is like a biscuit dipped in tea, little delay and it's gone. As we saw in the case of Bill Gates, if he missed the opportunity provided by IBM, So I don't think Bill Gates would have had the fame he now has. Until then, be happy, keep smiling and keep reading my articles. Until then, bye-bye and yes, do not forget the comment, and if you like this article very much, then you will have to share it. Because circulating knowledge to others is essential for a better society.

Thank You So much for reading.
