A College Life, huh, tall building lots of girls and doing things that you have always ever imagined. College and college life have always been the dream of almost every young and aspiring youth.
SO LET ME SHATTER YOUR DREAMS SLOWLY AND GRADUALLY.
1) INFRASTRUCTURE:
The first thing that you do after getting admission to colleges are looking at the photos and images in Google, how is the placement of the college, and other things. Guys, if you are fortunate and got admission in the government colleges, kiss goodbye to the infrastructure. I mean, you don't know when the ceiling will fall off.
2) GIRLS
Oh yes, boys, you heard me right, "GIRLS." The real purpose of going to colleges, huh. My eyes are weak, typing these lines. You are going to cry out loud when you go through the same phase. And if by God's grace, you finally get a girl, always keep in mind you are among five lucky contestants. Guys will kill to talk to a girl so you can imagine what they will do for other things. And the matter does not end there if you are caught talking to a girl who is a crush of another guy, you are really in a heap of trouble.
3) STUDIES
1st year huh, so many plan schedules and how to study and get higher GPA, placements. If you are talking about me, I'll have to look at the word "study" in the dictionary to find the meaning. I used to hear that in colleges, people studied the last night before the exam and still pass with good marks. Luckily I am among one of those, but yet, I have seen guys who wouldn't learn even before night, and the outcome is: "BACKLOGS" I like the confidence these guys possess of clearing the papers even though every semester, their backlog keeps piling up, Hahaha.
4) MOVIES AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT THINGS
I'll say this once you keep your toe to the ground and spend only how much you possibly can. You'll see people going to movie trips, arcade, clubs but always keep this in mind that you don't have to if you dont want to. For me watching a movie is rarer than Haley's comet itself. Nah, I was just kidding. At max, I go once per month for a film, and it is fun, but I see that many people want to, but they can't afford that.
5) Late-night games and Snack
Speaking from experience, This is the best phase of hostel life. Late-night Maggie cravings, playing T.T, pubg, some play mini militia, Other play badminton, and honestly, I love it. As there is a saying, "ENGINEERS DON'T SLEEP," and it is true. When you wake up, it's already late to go college, so you postpone it the vicious cycle of never going college begins.
I can go on blabbering about college life expectations versus reality. However, I am thrilled and content even though I don't get everything I imagined, but still, it's my life now, and I love it.
