How can we reduce extra load of books from students back ?

Some unnecessary subjects in the children's curriculum

There are some unnecessary subjects in the children's curriculum like History, Geography, and civics. I mean, there is no doubt that children need to have knowledge of that subject.  But in the future, these subjects will not affect their daily life. Instead of spending so much time on these subjects, these subjects should be taught in a different way.  Let us see how we can teach these subjects to students in a different way.

History - we can teach students with the help of TV series on History.

Everyone needs to have an idea of their History.  But how appropriate is it to make History an integral part of a child's curriculum and study history so that children can get marks just by rehearsing?  And how long will the children remember the History learned in this way?  In time, children forget all these things.  In this case, a different approach should be adopted to teach History.  This means that the government should show daily series on television in different languages on the History we teach children.  And at the end of these subjects, it should be announced that marks will be given by taking a straight exam so that the children will see the series visually and learn History while enjoying it.  And the burden on their backs will be easily reduced by dropping the history subject from their syllabus.

Geography - we can teach students with the help of youtube footage.

General information on the subject of geography is the geography of the earth, such as rivers, mountains, oceans, volcanoes around the world.  Then the series was also shown on television in such a manner, for example, by filming the Gangotri from which the river Ganga originates, how it will come in front of the children in visual form.  As well as in the case of the sea and ocean.  When the mountain is studied, the Himalayas, the Sahyadri mountains, the children will watch on television.  That way, everything will be remembered forever.  Maybe there's no need to shoot all of this separately.  Most of the footage is already available on YouTube.

Civics - we can teach students with today's cabinet module.

In the subject of civics, in general, topics are our fundamental rights, our laws, our responsibilities as citizens, the structure of our India as a federation.  Important topics are the rights of the states, the structure of the states in India.  The subject of civics in studies seems very boring to children.  But if the same subject came up on television in visual form, learning civics would also be different fun.  In this, the Prime Minister, the current Prime Minister, will stand before the eyes of the children.  Who was the previous Prime Minister?  Who was before that.  Just as the Prime Minister is the head of our country, so is the Chief Minister, the head of state.  Then how is the composition of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha?  Who are the current members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha?  This will be studied by the children in visual form.  And once the subject is established, the children will never forget it again.

If the above three subjects, History, geography, and civics, are taught to the children in such a manner, their interest in this subject will increase. And the extra load of books on their backs will automatically be reduced.  The rest of the subjects like science, languages, mathematics should be taught to the children where it is possible to use them in practical life.
The world is changing rapidly.  We should also consider how to teach our curriculum in a modern way.
