Farmers across the country have marched towards Delhi with the slogan 'Chalo Delhi'(Let's march to Delhi) against the agricultural laws, prompting the central government to go to Delhi. Farmers have migrated to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan, which are now being stopped separately at the Delhi border.

Delhi's borders were sealed.

Clashes have broken out between farmers and police forces at several places, including Delhi Ghaziabad Border, Delhi Faridabad Border, Delhi Chandigarh Highway, Ambala Patiala Border, and Shanbhu Border. Police have bucharbhy water from water cannon on them to prevent farmers. At the same time, tear gas shells have been fired at them, and when the farmers disagree, sticks have also been rained on them. In many places, the farmers have broken the police barricades, and in many places, they have staged sit-ins but are not ready to back down under any circumstance.

Farmers are moving forward with hundreds of tractors.

In some places, the police force has put up large boulders on the highway to stop the farmers, but the farmers move towards Delhi. There are thousands of tractors with the farmers marching from Punjab and Haryana, and the total number of farmers is said to be around two lakh. The marching farmers walk along with rations for food and water for drinking. There are also women for cooking, and they have set up their camp on big tractor-trolleys. This clearly means that the farmers have realized that this fight with the government will continue for a long time.

Atal Kumar, head of the All India Farmers' Congress, has issued a regular press note claiming that the country's banks, LIC General Insurance, coal mines, transport in many provinces remained completely closed. He said that "today the farmers have told the government that not only the center but also the provincial government is anti-people, anti-corporate, anti-farmer and anti-labor. The farmers today have given the message that if the economic policies are not changed, the farmers' movement will intensify in the days to come."

Workers protested, and offices remained closed.

Along with the farmers, the workers had also announced protests, which resulted in the complete closure of the Life Insurance Corporation's offices in most parts of the country, including two zonal offices and three provincial offices. Also, a total of 7 branches of nationalized banks in the country, including 3 Grameen branches, were completely closed. The country's workers, farmers, and villagers, including government, semi-government and private sector workers, have made the strike a success and have told the central government to work four hours a day, including a recommendation to snatch social security rights under the new labor laws. The working class of the country has rejected the edict of the government.

Trade unions join farmers’ protests.

The trade union leaders and workers assembled at parliament house in Delhi, where farmers gathered to protest against the recent agriculture laws passed by Parliament.

“Kerala, Puducherry, Odisha, Assam, and Telangana have reported complete shutdown. Tamil Nadu reported a complete shutdown in 13 districts. At the same time, the industrial strike continues in the rest of the districts; Punjab and Haryana have reported that the State road transport buses have not left their depots in the morning,” a statement issued by the joint platform.
