The ZOMATO issue has gained fame from every part of India. What we don't recognize is that who was right? Was justice served rightly? Before answering to all these questions in mind we want you to know the story from both the sides. So that's what we are here for. Let's get started.
THE GIRL'S SIDE OF STORY
In the morning, the girl (who is also a socialmedia influencer) had ordered food from Zomato. The app had shown 1 hour so she waited until then. Even after one hour she didnt receive the food.
Hence she called the Zomato Customer Care to check what is happening. Zomato Customer Care was given two options were she asked to either cancel the order or give the food for free.
Menawhile, the delivery boy arrived and gave her the food and was asked to wait for the money while she was chatting with Zomato Customer Care for which he refused. He asked her whether he was her slave and went into the room to take the food.
Meanwhile she took the slipper for self defense. The delivery boy attacked her and took the food. She later did a video and posted on Instagram for which she received numerous support from the people on social media.
THE DELIVERY BOY'S SIDE OF STORY
He is a person who is working in Zomato for 26 months and have a 4.75 rating out of five. When he received her order he travelled to her place but as construction works were going on, he couldn't deliver the food on time.
When he delivered the food he asked her sorry for being late and waited for the money. He asked her to hurry up as he wanted to deliver 4 more orders and this delay would affect his rating. When asked to wait he asked her whether he was her slave and went into the room to take the food.
Even when Zomato Customer Care had said that the order is cancelled she refused to give the food by which he entered the house to take the parcel. She said some words rudely in Hindi which he couldn't understand and bet him with slippers.
While self defensing himself, the girl hit her hand on the nose and got hurt due to her ring. He was really panicked by this.
He took the food and ran down the apartment. He saw another person down to which he narrated the whole story. The person responded by saying "Why deliver to such people?".
Later when the person was travelling he was asked to go to the police station where he was arrested. He got bail by giving Rs.25000/-
CONCLUSION
From both sides of the story we can't reach to a conclusion fast. But before supporting either the boy or the girl we need to analyse both sides of the coin and then reach a particular conclusion.
We know that social media is a very powerful tool both in helping and in harming. So we need to cautiously consider each facts before presenting our views or opinions.
We must be clear about what the situation is and then share our viewpoint. Giving you a clear picture was my duty.
