What are the Effect of 8 Glasses of water and its need?

Water is the basic requirement of every organism in this world. Nothing is possible without water. The importance of water can be imagined from this fact that nature gives 97 percent of the world with water and only 3 percent island. In this article, we will discuss the water requirement for our normal body function.

Advantages of water for the body

The main and principal chemical component, which is present 60 percent in our body, is water. We cannot survive without water because life without water is impossible. Each and every cell, tissue, and part of the body require water for their proper functioning and stability. For example:

  • It maintains the body temperature at the optimum level.
  • Water release waste material from the body through urination and bowel movements.
  • It involves lubrication of joints and hence helps the joints for proper function.
  • It also provides safety to sensitive tissues.

If water is not lead to its optimum level in the body, then several diseases have occurred, mainly dehydration. This is a very dangerous condition in which the body reduces energy and causes the misfunctioning of the many works of the body.

Human body water requirement:

As in our daily life, we do many activities and release too much amount of water. These activities include breath, respiration, exercise, perspiration, and bowel movements. So we must take more water so that even after the normal body functioning, the water quantity will never decrease. So the main question is how much water we must take in one day for the proper functioning of our body? According to the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, the per day requirement of water, including other fluids, is 3.7 liters for men and 2.7 of fluids or water for the women. These requirements can be covered from water, fruits, and other beverages because 20 percent of the water in our daily life comes from foods and other drinks.

Water requirement in different conditions:

As water is the basic and necessary part of living things,s so its quantity also matters. The body needs a different amount of water in different conditions. So now we will discuss those different conditions and water requirements:

During Exercise

Any activity which makes the human body sweat causes loss of water from the body. So, we must nullify this loss by taking a large amount of water. Therefore, we must take water before, during, and after exercise so that it replaces the loss with huge water.

Hot Environment

In the hot weather body also needs water because in hot conditions sweating is maximum. So, need water in the hot condition is also an important factor.

During Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Those women who are pregnant or feed baby requires more water than the normal routine. Because these women lose a large amount of water from the body in the form of milk or in the form of blood during Pregnancy. Doctors often say that normal women require 2.4 litters, while pregnant women need 3.2 liters of water per day.

So from all discussion, we can imagine the importance of water in our daily life, and we can say that there is a more important thing other than water in the life of organisms.
