Top 17 Easy Home Remedies for Hair Problems

 

Hair problems are common to everyone. Nearly all of us are having different hair problems and we are fighting daily with these problems. so here we got you some of the easy but effective and affordable solutions which will help you to reduce your hair problems like hair damage, dandruff, hair fall, hair lice, premature graying of hair and others.

These are basic home remedies you can simply use to make your hair long, smooth, black and thick.

 

 

1) Amla -

Amla strengthens hair and scalp, helps in the blackening of hair and treats dandruff.

(i) Make a powder from dry amla. Add dried amla powder to coconut oil and heat it up till the oil turns black.       Apply the oil to the hair. This will help to reduce hair fall.

(ii) After washing your hair, apply dried amla powder mixed with lemon juice in wet hair. Then wash hair after 10 minutes. It will make your hair shinier and softer.

 

 

2) Lemon Juice -

 Applying lemon juice to hair for few minutes will prevent and treat dandruff problems. Lemon juice also helps to remove pollutants that prevent hair growth.

(i) Mix some lemon juice in lukewarm (moderately warm) coconut oil or mustard oil to cure dandruff.

(ii) Mix two spoons of Multani Mitti and few drops of lemon juice and apply it to your scalp for 20 minutes. This will remove oil and dirt from your scalp.

(iii) Apply one spoon of lemon juice with two spoons of ginger juice on your scalp. Let it dry and wash hair thereafter. This will make hair long and thick.

 

 

3) Yogurt (curd) -

Yogurt (curd) is a natural conditioner for the hair. It softens the hair and promotes hair growth.

You can also include curd in your diet for good results.

(i) You can apply 100 grams of curd in place of shampoo by adding a little black pepper and wash hair in this way makes hair black and long.

(ii) You can also use a mixture of amla and Multani Mitti in curd in place of shampoo.

(iii) Mix curd and honey in equal quantities and apply it to your hair. Keep it for 30 minutes to dry. Now wash hair with normal water.

 

 

4) Cardamom (ilaychi) -

After eating 2 cardamoms (ilaychi) before sleeping at night, drinking warm water from above strengthens hair roots and stops hair loss.

 

 

5) Neem Leaves (Curry Patta) -

Neem leaves can be proved very helpful for hair.

(i) Pour neem leaves in coconut oil and boil for 5-7 minutes. Apply this oil to your scalp with fingers and massage it. Wash hair after 1 hour.

(ii) Neem leaves are very helpful solution for white hair. Leave Curry Patta in water for 1 hour and wash your hair with that water.

 

 

6) Yoga for hair growth -

Uttanasana is a forward bending exercise for hair growth. This will help to flow the blood and oxygen to the head and scalp and relaxes your muscles.

 

 

7) Food for hair growth -

Eggs, berries, spinach, sweet potatoes and sprouts are the best food for hair growth. 

You can also have 6 almonds, 10 raisins (kishmish) and 7 pista daily. Their nutrients will help the hair to grow black.

 

 

8) Aloe vera gel -

Aloe vera gel helps to look hair healthier, shinier and softer.

(i) Apply aloe vera gel directly to the hair after washing the hair. Keep it for few minutes and wash your hair with water only. This will make hair soft and smooth.

(ii) You can also apply milk mixed with aloe vera gel. This will also make hair shiny.

 

 

9) Onion Juice -

It prevents premature graying of hair and treats dandruff.

Apply lemon juice mixed with onion juice and yogurt (curd).

 

 

10) Coconut Oil -

Coconut oil with Camphor (Kapoor) is an effective way to fight dandruff.

Crush camphor to make powder. Mix camphor powder in coconut oil and apply it on your scalp before 30 minutes of hair wash.

 

 

11) Rice water -

Rice water will make hair shinier and leads to hair growth.

Boil some rice in water. Then remove rice from water and let it cool. Store that water in a container. 1 hour before washing your hair, spray that rice water and massage your hair.

 

 

12) Milk -

Mix milk and honey together to form a paste. Pour mixture on your hair and massage it into your scalp. Wash your hair after 20 minutes. It will make hair smooth.

 

 

13) Almond Oil -

Almond oil treats dry and damaged hair.

Pour some almond oil into a bowl and heat it for a minute. Then apply it to your hair. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash your hair.

 

 

14) Eggs -

Eggs are a rich source of protein. You can either apply eggs to your hair or incorporate them into your diet. 

Apply egg on wet hair. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash hair with moderately warm water.

 

 

15) Fenugreek (methi) -

 Fenugreek seeds have high protein and are helpful for hair fall.

Soak some fenugreek seeds in water for a night. Grind the seeds and make a paste with the same water. Apply it on hair and leave it for 20 minutes and wash hair thereafter.

 

 

16) Sugar -

Mix a spoon of sugar in shampoo and massage the scalp with light hands. Do this for 5 minutes and then wash off. This will easily remove dirt, chemicals and dead cells.

 

 

17) Alum (fitkaree) -

If you have the problem of hair lice, then dissolve some 15 grams of alum in 1 litre of water and clear your hair daily with this water. Hair lices will come out within 1 week and you will get relief. 

 

If you have allergies to any of the above items, then do not try the solutions given above.

 

Some common points related to hair-

1) Avoid hairstyles that pull at your hair such as tight ponytails and braid as they damage your hair follicle and cause hair loss.

2) It is good to wait at least 4 weeks before you use your hair color again. This helps to minimize permanent damage.

3) Avoid using the hairdryer and let your hair itself dry. Using a hairdryer regularly can damage your hair.

4) Once in a week you should massage your hair from root to tip with hot oil. This will help to promote hair growth and also treats all types of scalp-related problems.
