How to take a screenshot in Google Chrome Browser?

To take a screenshot in Google Chrome Browser via the Google Chrome's developer tool, follow the steps below:

  • You can take a screenshot in Google Chrome Browser with Google Chrome's developer menu, or you may also take a screenshot in Google Chrome browser via one of the many tools of your computer's built-in tools.
  • To take a screenshot in Google Chrome Browser via the Google Chrome's developer menu, open the Elements Inspector in Google Chrome, and the Elements Inspector tool, type the word "Screenshot."
  • You can choose from among four kinds of screenshots in Google Chrome Browser. And those include a screenshot that captures the entire web page, no matter if it does or does not fits on your screen.

You probably might know how to take a screenshot on your computer, using that Print Scrn option and the snipping tool in Windows 10.

But if you a google chrome browser user, and you need to take screenshots at regular intervals in your google chrome browser, you might want to use the relativity obscure, easy to use screenshot tool that is pre-build right into your google chrome browser.

The feature that I am talking about is known only by a few people because it is a tool specially built, or you can say this tool is considered for Developers. But in reality, anyone can use this feature.

Here's how to take screenshots in your Google Chrome Browser, on your PC or MAC.

How to screenshot on Google Chrome?

1. Open google chrome browser and press Ctrl + Shift + I if you are on a pc, or Command + Option + I if you are on MAC.

Remember, that's the letter I or you can say "EYE," and it's not the letter L.

Once you do this, the Google Chrome browser shall open a developer menu called the Element Inspector, which lets you see the current web page's code.

2. Next, you need to press Ctrl + Shift P if you're on a PC or Command + Shift P if you're on a MAC. This will let you search through the list of developer tools.

3. Now type "Screenshot," and remember not to press the Enter key. And now, Google Chrome Browser shall load for you 4 different screenshot options.

Let me tell you the functions of these:

Capture Area Screenshot: This lets you select a specific part of the screen and save it as a screenshot on your device. And yeah, you can't capture the Element Inspector itself. This thing, Element Inspector, never gets included in the screenshot.

Capture full-size screen: This tool lets you capture a picture of your entire webpage, from top to bottom. The web page for which you want to capture the screenshot might or might not fit your device's entire screen, but it will be included in the picture.

Capture Note Screenshot: Developers or programmers use this tool. These tools let you capture an image of just a specific element selected in the Element Inspector.

Capture screenshot: This thing is similar to a standard screenshot. It saves an image, or it captures an image of what's currently visible on your screen.

4. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to what type of screenshot you want and press Enter. And now, your screenshot will be taken and will be saved automatically. And you can find your screenshot in google chrome's download manager.
