HOW TO TAKE QUICK AND CONFIDENT DECISION

In our daily schedule, we have to make a lot of decisions. But most people are thinking about how to make the right decisions in a shorter period. So these are some tips which will lead you to a better decision-maker.

1.stop the analysis-paralysis

Overthinking about a decision does not make it easy, but makes it harder to come to a final say.

  •   When we start counting all the things that could go wrong, we have a long list of why we should not proceed with the decision. However, we also need to list the functional aspects of the decision to look at it from a positive perspective. After you have taken a decision, you should not analyze the results because that only increases the anxiety.

2.sleep on a decision

Some people practice sleeping on the decision, which means to take days and months to decide on something.

If you have to decide on something meaningful instead of sleeping in it, take a sheet of paper and write down the pros and cons of the decision.

This will give you enough opportunity to analyze the decision. Once you have listed all the pros and cons, weigh one against the other.

This will help you make a significant decision. So sit on the decision, but do not sleep on it.

3.follow the 10-10-10 strategy

For every quick decision that you take, ask yourself three questions.

• What will be the result of the decision 10 minutes later?

• How is it going to impact me ten months later?

•Will I bear any fruit of this decision ten years later?

These questions will help you to consider the present, middle-term, and future effects of the decision that you are planning to take. 4.write down your problem

Write down a conclusion that helps you register it. It also gives you enough time to calm down your worries and decide without any prejudices aiming at the good of all and not personal gain.

So writing your problems generates ideas and find new solutions to your question.

5.list pros and cons

Cons is the cost that you have to pay for a decision that is the side effect or possible negative results of a decision, whereas pros are the positive results of choice.

If the pros are more than the cons, you know you can decide in favor, or else you may want to look at another solution to your problem.

6.hit your history books

Research about the decision you are making so that you can learn from the experiences of other people.

Speak to your business friends about your business decision, consider their opinions, but decide yourself so that no one would take you to their advantage.

7.phone a friend

Speak to your close friends for a personal suggestion about the decision that you are confused about.

This will help you to look at the problem from a different perspective.

8.trust your gut

Sometimes feelings better guide than logic. If you strongly feel about a matter, then give some weightage to your stomach feeling as well. Going by the rationale could lead you to decide practically.

So if you follow these tips then surely you will be a good decision-maker.
