How to Save your Eyes from the Blue Light of your Phone

Have you ever faced a situation in which you go to bed early at the usual time only bu still you feel that the time is passing and it is almost midnight but even you not able to sleep? Thus to keep yourself engaged, you to operate your phone more, and then you are unable to remember the time when you finally slept. So, please read this article entirely as I will be sharing with you the information about how the blue light of your phone is damaging your natural sleep cycle and  how you can stop this effect:

What is our Natural Body Cycle:

Our body has an independent sleep mechanism which always gives our body the signals about the various activities that we perform during a day. Various types of light in the air are the indicators of day, afternoon, and night. Blue light is an indicator of the afternoon-evening time.

During the morning and afternoon time, our eyes, when we come through the blue light it gives our brain and body the signals about the morning time, and thus, we perform all are functions with all the enthusiasm. With the time the blue light in the environment changes in the ember light and when our eyes capture that ember light they give our body the signals of the night time and when the time is near to 10 p.m. then our brain releases hormone melatonin which is responsible for the regulation of sleep cycle. 

                                                           

What has affected our sleep cycle:

The sleep cycle of the people was proper in the past but in the last decade due to the increase of the mobile industry, most of the time is engaged in using WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other essentials.

At times when we are unable to sleep at night, we often think about what is the reason behind it. Then we think that till the time we sleep let us operate our phone, laptop, or tablet to spend this time. But we never know that our phones, laptop, and tablets are the only reason responsible for your late sleep. 

Thus when at night our eyes receive blue light emitting from our phones at that time the hormone melatonin does not get released by our brain and thus we are only able to sleep when our body power is completely down. In cases when you stop using the phone and try to sleep still it may happen that you may not be able to sleep for 10-15 minutes and then again to keep yourself engaged you will again pick up your phone and start using it.  

Problems you can face due to the repetition of this process:

Many scientists after years of research came to know that this process for many days may result in:

1)Depression

2)Obesity

3)In some cases, it may also result in cancer.

How can you save yourself from getting affected:

you should try to avoid the usage of your phone 1 hour before you go to sleep.

If you can also turn on an ember shaded lamp in your room if possible.

You can also turn on blue light built-in features on your phone. If you are using an iPhone then you can turn on the night shift mode to work on your mobile. If you are using an android phone then you also get many options with the name of reading mode or night mode which you can enable to use your phone at night.
