English Premier League 2020/21

The 2020/21 season of EPL will officially start on 12th September when newly-promoted Fulham F.C. will host Arsenal in Craven Cottage stadium.

What to expect?

When it comes to EPL, then expectations are always high as people get a chance to see the most prominent clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur. Everyone expects the top six to perform well, but at the same time, they want underdogs to perform well. This season is expected to be more competitive with the likes of Wolves, Sheffield United, and Everton in good form. Newly promoted Leeds United is also likely to perform well this season.

Matches:

As I mentioned earlier, Fulham will host Arsenal for the season opener, and both teams will give their 100% to win this match as Arsenal wants to finish top four, and Fulham intends to stay in full flight for another season. The second match of the season will be between Crystal Palace and Southampton. Defending Champions Liverpool will host newly-promoted Leeds United in Anfield for the third match of this season's EPL. It will be exciting to see whether Liverpool will win convincingly or Leeds will give us an early shocker of the season by defeating the defending champions. Matchday 2 will bring more excitement as Chelsea takes on Liverpool on 20th September. Every football fans hope this match to be competitive as two top-six sides will face each other. This match also helps to predict what will be the top side of the table at the end of the season.

My prediction for the top four:

Despite only one signing in the form of Dony Van de Beek in this transfer window, Manchester United might finish in the fourth position above Arsenal(5th) and Spurs(6th).3rd spot goes to the team which has won this transfer window with the signings like Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, and club-record signing in the form of Kai Havertz, yes I'm talking about Chelsea.2019/20 champions Liverpool to finish 2nd below Man. City. Both the teams are powerful, and this time, City might edge out Liverpool to win third EPL title under Guardiola.

Golden boot contenders:

For golden boot, Harry Kane, who is in the sublime form, will be the safest bet. His closest rivals will be Gabonese international, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and English veteran striker Jamie Vardy. I'm not mentioning Timo Werner because it'll be his first season, and he might need some time to adapt to the toughest league in the world.

Players to watch out for:

Two German internationals and Chelsea's new signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, will be the players to watch out for. It'll be nice to see whether these players be able to live up to the expectations or add their name on the Premier League's flop list.

Best player top six teams:

For Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne will be their best team and will be the best playmaker of the league.

Mohammed Salah is expected to perform great to help his team to get silverware.

Christian Pulisic was the main man for Chelsea last season, and he is expected to be in the same form this season.

Bruno Fernandes will excel in midfield for Man. United with the partners Pogba and Van de Beek.

Captain and the prolific goalscorer for Arsenal, Aubameyang will be Arsenal's main man this season.

Harry Kane will lead Spurs to compete for silverware with his partner in crime, Son-Heung-Min.
