Hero MotoCorp Limited is a popular and much older vehicle manufacturer.  The company has introduced several electric scooters, out of which Electric Optima and Electric Photon are two good and cheap scooters.  Both electric scooters largely come with the traditional scooty design.  In the Optima you get drum brakes and Photon has a front brake disc and a rear brake drum.  These include electric start and alloy wheels.  The wheels are 10 inches in size and have a ground clearance of 140mm.

The motors included in Optima's top-models come with a 550W power rating and have the ability to generate a peak power of 1200W.  Its top speed is 42Kmph.  In this scooter you get a battery of 2.688kWh capacity and the company claims that the scooter can cover a distance of 122Km on a single charge.  The battery takes 4 to 5 hours to be fully charged.  Hero Electric Optima comes in four variants, which have differences in specifications.  Its ex-showroom price starts at around Rs 41,770.

At the same time, the motors included in Photon's top-model come with a 1200W power rating and the company claims that this motor can generate a maximum power of 1800W.  Its top speed is 45Kmph.  In this scooter you get a Lithium-ion battery of 2.688kWh capacity and the company claims that the scooter can travel up to 80KM in a single charge.  The battery takes 4 to 5 hours to be fully charged.  Hero Electric Photon comes in two variants, which have differences in specifications.  Its ex-showroom price starts at around Rs 61,868.

 

 

Bajaj Chetak

Bajaj has once again brought the highly popular scooter Chetak of the 90s back into the market and this time it has been modernized.  The new Chetak is an electric scooter.  Its motor comes with a 3800W power rating, which can generate a peak power of 4,080W.  The company claims that this scooter can travel 85 to 95 kilometers in a single charge and its battery takes 5 hours to be fully charged.  Its top speed is 70Kmph.  Its digital instrument cluster looks very modern and supports Bluetooth connectivity.  It also supports GPS and navigation.  In this you also get USB charging port and it is also equipped with parking assist, anti theft system and geo fencing support.  One of its specialties is the reverse mode, through which you do not have to use the legs to push it back.  The scooter gets 12-inch alloy wheels.  Its price starts at around Rs 1,15,000 (Ex-Showroom).

 

 

TVS iQube

The first and currently the only electric scooter from TVS is the iQube, which comes with an attractive design.  The iQube electric scooter motor comes with a 3000W power rating, which can generate a peak power of 4,400W.  The company claims that this scooter can cover a distance of 75KM in a single charge and its battery takes 5 hours to be fully charged.  Its top speed is 78Kmph.  The battery capacity is 2.25kWh and is a Lithium-ion battery.  This scooty also supports mobile app connectivity and GPS navigation.  In this you also get USB charging port and it is also equipped with parking assist, anti theft system and geo fencing support.  Reverse mode is also available in it.  Its price starts at around Rs 1,08,00 (Ex-Showroom).

 

 

Ather 450X / Ather 450 Plus

Ather is an Indian electric vehicle manufacturing start-up, which is slowly earning a good name.  The company's two electric scooters 450X and 450 Plus come with many modern features.  The 450X offers 3 riding modes, including Eco, Ride and Sport.  These three make a difference in range.  In Eco mode, the user can remove the range of 85KM, in Ride mode, 70KM and in Sports mode, 60KM.  It has a 2.9kWh capacity battery.  Its 6kW capacity motor generates torque of 26Nm.  The company claims that this scooter can run 15KM on a 10-minute charge.

 At the same time, one of its models comes in the name of Ather 450 Plus.  In this variant you get a maximum range of 70KM.  Its motor comes with a capacity of 5.4kW, which generates a maximum torque of 22Nm.  In this variant, a 10-minute charge is capable of giving you a ride of 10KM.  These scooters come equipped with features like reverse mode, GPS and navigation, central locking system and parking assist.  In the 450X variant you also get additional features like Bluetooth connectivity call alerts and music control.  The prices of these two scooters vary in different states according to the subsidy.

Micromax's new owner Revolt was completely Indian company, which launched the Revolt RV 300 and RV 400 electric bikes.  Both bikes come equipped with strong specifications.  The RV 300 comes with a 1500W rated motor, which can hold a maximum speed of up to 65KM per hour.  It gets a 2.7kWh capacity battery and the company claims that it can give a range from 80KM to 180KM.  Its battery can be full charged in 4.2 hours.  Its ex-showroom price is around Rs 94,999.

 At the same time, the RV 400 gets a 3000W rated motor, which can hold a maximum speed of up to 85KM per hour.  It gets a battery of 3.24kWh capacity and the company claims that it can give a range of 80KM to 150KM.  Its battery can be fully charged in 4.5 hours.  Its ex-showroom price is around Rs 94,999.  Its ex-showroom price starts at around Rs 1,18,999.
