10 False Scientific Facts that we still Believe to be true

Many assumed that the Earth was the nucleus of the universe before science could show that the Earth was orbiting the Sun. Not just that, there are many false truths until science reveals that we assume to be real. Since childhood, we have been taught numerous scientific facts informally or inadvertently. And they are all claimed to be real, further verified by engaging with those around them.

Let's discuss the 10 incorrect scientific facts below that we still believe!

1. Lightning does not strike at the same spot twice:

The reality is not so, since the shortest path to the ground is often sought by lightning. Thus, elevated artifacts such as trees and Tall buildings are more likely to be hit by lightning because they are higher, and not just once, and of course hitting twice at same spot cannot be ruled out.

3. When immersed in water, the Fingertips are Wrinkled

This is not because water is sucked from our fingers, But since blood vessels contract, causing the fingertips to tighten. The explanation of why blood vessels are shrinking, however, is not well known, maybe the adaptations of our ancestors to survive in humid environments.

4. The Chewing gum in the stomach needs 7 years to be digestible.

If you swallow chewing gum, elders often scare you that chewing gum would enter your intestines and takes up 7 years to digest. The gum, however, is just as difficult to absorb as the insoluble fiber, like any other food, it will move through your digestive tract, the residue will be discharged without nutrients.

We often associate forgetful people with 'goldfish brain' terminology. Although the brain of the goldfish does not expand and has no strong memory, to say goldfish remembers only for a few seconds bit of far fetched. Goldfish, in fact, can remember things for many months.

6.  Blood is green in a vein

In the vein that lacks oxygen, the blood returning to the heart is not as blue as we usually see through the eyes but is instead dark red. It clearly shows the strong static blue diagram, but the blue diagram clearly shows the blue diagram. 10. People use only 10% of the brain

Just 10 percent of the brain is used by humans, right? You're mistaken! While only a small number of neurons are reflected at any moment, the rest still play an important role.
