Why War Of Greed?

We are living in a time of success. We see success, development, growth, betterment, and increase everywhere. We can see success in education, sports, medical, traveling, marketing, and politics. We can see a change in males, females, youth, and children too. And we can also see the spiritual empowerment of religion in the new generation.

We are grateful to all the people who are working hard for the peace, harmony, and betterment of the world. But besides that, we can see a lack in the lives, families, societies, communities, and countries. It's the lack of awareness, health, wealth, resources, opportunities, and leadership too. This lack is increasing day by day. We can see it in the world’s population because 10% of the population are healthy, wealthy, successful, and enjoying their better life; but 90% of the population are facing suffering and hardship, and lack of these above things in every society, community, religion, and country. It creates some questions in our minds that why is there a huge difference between these two populations of the world? Who is responsible for it? How can we understand it?

There are three levels of need, and actually, behind the need, we are facing is a lack in our life. And without understanding the level of need, we can not understand how these needs of life convert into the greed of life, and this greed creates a war of greed in us. Let us see it step by step.

1- BASIC NEEDS: It is true that everyone wants water, food, clothes, and safety. No matter if he/she is rich or poor, male or female, boy or girl, young or old, illiterate or professor, spiritual or bad, faithful or rebel. These are the basic needs, and everyone is struggling for them personally. And if we get these, then we feel peace in mind, and happiness in our lives, and family. And if we are facing financial problems, then it becomes a war between needs and us. Hence, people can not avoid thieving, fighting, lying, blaming, and killing for the sake of the survival of the person, and family. And many times it's the start of unethical behavior and criminal activities. Where there is a lack of basic needs, we can see an environment of selfishness and carelessness.

2- WANT NEEDS: When we get our basic needs then mostly we feel peace in our minds, satisfaction in our hearts, and an environment of happiness in our life and family. But as a human, we want to see our life from good to better. That is why we work more, think more, struggle more, and do more. We do more and more because we not only want to see our life easy, rather we want to see our life and family in comfort, betterment, and happiness too. For this reason, many get an education, learn skills, do hard work, and many do two jobs.

But on the other hand, some use shortcut ways for success. They use a lottery, schemes, gambling, and wrong ways to get resources for their betterment, wealth, and happy life. For this reason, many times people join criminal groups and start immoral activities for their personal, and family future. The war of greed begins not only when we start to grab, control, and hold others' opportunities, money, position, success, and resource, rather it begins when we feel intelligent, sharp, wise, and over smart. Because our wants motivate us to see other’s things with lust. It creates in us an unsatisfied war of greed, which motivates us for more sharpness.

On this level of need, many times people become dangerous because this lack creates in them an unsatisfied spirit that can not be satisfied with this level. It wants more and more, no matter if it is right or not, but they just want it.

3-DESIRE NEEDS: The third level of our need is the desire needs. Desires are good, innocent, and harmless. Our desires are our top goals, last destiny, and unseen dreams. We want to complete our desires in our life, and that is why we set goals, make plans, and set time limits. It's not bad at all. It's our right to see dreams, set goals, and make plans. It means to see ourselves, or our family up, on the top, and in a position. It's our right to get an education, learn new skills, start our own business, get a new car, purchase a big home, live in high society, become rich, adopt, and get a luxury lifestyle. These are our desires, and we must try to get them, too.

Having desire is not a  problem, nor is their accomplishment a problem, rather wrong ways are a problem. King Solomon, the richest, wise, and most successful man of history said in Proverbs 16:25, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death". He says that no one is against our success, wealth, and luxurious life. We have the right to complete our each and every desire through good ways, right paths, and step by step, but problems create when we use shortcuts to achieve them as soon as possible. Solomon also says in Proverbs 10:24, "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and He adds no trouble in it".  He says that if we complete our desires through proper channels, then it’ll be a blessing for us, our family, and our coming generations. This success will not be harmful to us. But if we use unethical ways then in the end we may feel destruction, hardness, frustration, burden, and shame.

The completion of our desires in war, between us and others, is when we ignore, reject, and bypass others for the sake of ourselves, or our family. We involve ourselves in a war of greed when we break the rules, laws, and principles of a family, institute, society, or country too, for our satisfaction, betterment, wealth, position, and luxury. Many times we break the natural, and spiritual laws of God for wealth, position, and respect. We become involved in the war of greed fully because we want to see ourselves at the top, the highest position, and the only one in a competition. For this reason, we fully become involved in terrorism, and drug dealer gangs, as we think that it’s an easier way, plus our right.

Desires are not wrong, but when a human becomes addicted to his desires, then he loses the discernment between the good and bad, black and white, desire and lust, and right and crime. When a man becomes addicted to his desires, then he becomes involved in a non-stop war of greed because his/her goal now is the completion of his desires at any cost. That's why people want a position in religion, politics, institutions, or family. He/she sees the position as a power to complete their desire, rather as a responsibility to complete the task of betterment, development, growth, increase, and success of families, institutions, religions, or countries.

When someone involves himself/herself fully in the war of greed, then they sacrifice their faith on the altar of compromise. They not only sell their body, mind, commitment, principles, and values, but also their faith, position, standard, and country too. Because they could only see themselves, or their family, or their coming generations; no matter what others see, or say about them.

When a person involves fully in the war of greed, then he tries to use any position, authority, and power as a source or channel of success for the completion of their desires. Through this, they burn everything which evokes their ethical attitude. Because they want to satisfy themselves, they empower themselves, do everything in their favor, and take everything under their control. They use every course to enhance their limits of desire, position, environment, level, and location of the self, family, and coming generations.

On this level, people break every law for the sake of their own paradise, and still, they think of themselves as innocent, harmless, unaware, neutral, and victim person. But behind the scenes, many times they destroy others' opinions, principles, standards, dreams, culture, tradition, systems, and rules.

So, we need to be very careful about our needs, wants, and desires because if we’ll not stay careful, conscious, aware, and disciplined in them then we can easily involve ourselves in an unethical, criminal, and non-stop war of greed. We must know, and understand the difference between them, and be well aware of their roots, ways, and methods; otherwise, we can destroy our ethical, cultural, and religious differences easily, and become the victim of our desires, and our involvement in the war of greed.
