Why sub continent batsmen are not successful outside sub continent.

This is a long going debate why batsmen from Asia are not so successful outside sub continent. The main reason behind this kind of set back for the asian batsmen are the pitch conditions and the weather of the sub continent in which they grow up. Typically from their childhood they used to play in such pitches where pitches have hardly any bounce or swing. So, batsman generally gets deliveries under their knees. As a result they become a very good driver of the ball like they can play very good straight drive or cover drive. When the ball bounces you need to be a good puller, cutter or hooker of the cricket ball. But sub cotinent players hardly get this kind of chances when they grow up as a player. To play swing you need to be very cautious as a simple mistake can cause your wicket. The method to survive a swing is to either play it advance before it swings or later you need to play with loose hand so that any nick from bat would not go to slips. The asian cricketrers are not aware of this kind of practical scenarios due the condition in sub continents. Even the wind can cause a late swing for the cricket ball like in England. To mitigate swing you can stand in a pitch one or two yard advance, this will cause you can play a ball while it does not get much swing at that time.

                         So, to be a very good batsman you need to practice how to play a swing and bouncy ball if you are a sub continent player. You can use wet tennis balls to cope up with the bounce and pace. To play swings you need to practice in a grassy pitch if it has a little bit of moisture then the pitch will be perfect for swing. It is also required to build such pitches so that young cricketer can grow up playing in such pitches. For that a cricket committee can consult with a pitch expert who has the knowledge of building such kind of pitches outside sub continent.
