Why India lost the Test world cup against New Zealand?

Difference between Captain of India and Captain of NZ

We always forget that the New Zealand team has never been weaker, with a cool head, and as calm on the field as their captain Ken Williamson.  On the other hand, Virat Kohli is overconfident, arrogant, and aggressive.

Let's talk a little bit about the semi-finals of that World Cup 2019.

Remember the New Zealand match against India at the 2019 World Cup?  It seemed that India would win easily.  In the second innings, they wanted to chase a decent score.  The team's strategy was decided.  After falling the first wicket, Dinesh Karthik will go to bat.  The pitch will come in favor of a batsman.  But after Rohit Sharma's dismissal, Virat got up immediately and went to bat and was immediately dismissed and returned with a bang.  After that, Dinesh Karthik, Dhoni, and Pant fought for a while, and then the whole world saw how Jadeja got rid of the Kiwis.  What if this Virat works with the strategy?  So maybe India will be in the final with England.  And maybe India has the 2019 World Cup. Who knows?

Let us now turn to the original topic.

The long-running Test World Cup has come to an end.  And New Zealand became the first team in Test cricket to win the World Cup.  Congratulations to the New Zealand team on this.  The 2019 ODI World Cup final was lost to New Zealand due to unfortunate circumstances.  But this time, luck helped them.  And once again, fans began to pursue the weaknesses of the Indian team.  Then the demand to remove Ravi Shastri from the coach's post and make Rahul Dravid the coach and give the captaincy to Rohit Sharma in place of Virat began to gain momentum.

For a long time, we are facing an opener pairing problem.

The opening pairing has always been a problem for India.  Apart from Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag, no batsman has done well in this position.  How much has changed in this place over the last few years?  KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Shubhanam Gill, Mayank Agarwal.  All these changes are from the last one or two series.  Unfortunately, there are not two good openers in such a big cricket-loving country.  The role of openers is vital in any Test match.  The opening pair we are currently opening in the Tests is the inexperienced Shubhanam Gill and Rohit Sharma, who plays Test cricket like a Twenty20 player.  Shobhana Gill.  Shobhana Gill will experience it in a few days.  But the veteran hitman, no matter how popular he has been in ODIs, Twenty20, IPL, no matter how great he has been, does not seem to be doing so well here.  He should stop hitting irresponsible shots for a while before he comes to play the opener.  Although he is experienced, he is yet to play like Sehwag in Tests.

Failure of middle-order batters in Test cricket

To this day, the opener has always been a problem for India. Sometimes India's innings would collapse. But this failure was covered by the middle order batsmen with their excellent performance.  Dravid, Laxman, and Sachin had saved India's innings from time to time.  One of the three batsmen used to play very well. But now, no batter can be trusted.

Are Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant Test players?

Both our popular batsmen Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant have been dismissed for irresponsible shots.  With this kind of performance, you can put up a good score once or twice.  But then there is no continuity.  And luck does not always mean that.  So they have to change their game for the Tests.

Everyone looks helpless in front of the captain.

Admittedly, the captain has a mindful place in the team.  But what is going on in the Indian team right now is that all the players, the coaches, the selection committee, the BCCI are behaving in the same direction as Virat would say.

When the Indian team was on tour in Australia, in the first match, India lost by 35 runs, and in the second match, Virat came to India for personal work.  And Ajinkya Rahane led the team from the second match, and India won the series.  Then look at the statement given by Ravi Shastri.  "We were able to do this because Virat guided us back to India," he said.

If India wants to improve its performance

it needs to change its captaincy and give a different captain.  Needless to say, the role of the captain is vital for the team.  Therefore, Rohit should be given the captaincy in ODIs and Twenty20s and calm and restrained Ajinkya in Tests.  And the coaching job should also be given to Rahul Dravid or Kumble
