There are seven sages in Hinduism. They dedicate and honor the seven mountains in the same way as these seven sages do. Why Have Hinduism's Seven Spiritual Mountain Ranges Been So Popular Until Now?

On Mount Mahendragiri, according to Hindu scriptures, Lord Parasurama performed penance. There are several Mahabharata-era pristine temples on Mount Mahendragiri.

The spiritual mountain Mahendragiri is a hilly region in Tamil Nadu, India, borders the Kanyakumari region and the Tirunelveli district.

It is 1,500 meters high and located in the southern section of the Western Ghats. On its lower slopes, the Indian space research company ISRO has its headquarters.

 

Malayagiri

In India, the spiritual mountain Malaya is holy and venerated. These mountains are mentioned in the Matsya Purana, Kurma Purana, Vishnu Purana, Ramayana, and Mahabharata epics.

Mahendra, Niraya, Sahyadri Rickshaw, Vindhya, and Sripratap are among the seven major mountain ranges in India mentioned in the Vishnu Purana.

 

The Maye area in the south is the most southern part of modern Kerala, while the Sahya Parvat is the most northern part. The peaks of the Malaya Mountains are taller and more conspicuous than those of the Sahyadri Mountains. These places are known as Pothigai in Sangam literature.

 

Sahyadri

Across the globe, The Western Ghats, or Sahyadris, is a mountain range on India's west coast. Along the Deccan's western edge. The Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich diversity of species, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sahyadri is a spiritual mountain. Plateau is a 1600-kilometer-long mountain range that runs north to south. It is extremely significant for global biological variety, and it is ranked eighth in the world in this regard.

The major rivers in this range are the Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri, including the Nilgiris, Anaimalai, and Cardomom ranges.

 

Himalayas

Himalaya, the highest range in Bharat, literally translates to "abode of snow" in Sanskrit. The spiritual mountain range of the Himalayan range of mountains is the youngest in Bharat, formed by the collision of two tectonic plates.

With an average of over 100 peaks reaching above 7200 meters, the Himalayan range comprises almost all of the world's highest summits. At 8848 meters, Everest is the world's tallest summit. It is located in Nepal's Himalayan range.

 

Himalayas

Like the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Indus, several significant river systems originate in the spiritual Himalayas. The Himalayas play an important role in controlling the temperature in northern India during the winter by keeping cold air from entering the nation.

 

For ages, India has been protected by the spiritual Himalayas. The Himalayas Mountains are India's lifeline, with thousands of pilgrimage sites like Kedarnath Temple, Badrinath Temple, Lord Shiva's sacred spot Kailash, Barfani Baba Temple, Vaishno Mata Temple, and Amarnath.

 

Raivataka

Raivataka Mountain is mentioned in both the Mahabharatam and the Harivamsa Purana. In the Mahabharatam, it is mentioned as being located inside the Anarta Kingdom.

The Harivamsa Purana describes it as "near King Raivataka's playing area" and "the residence site for the gods." Dwaraka residents visit this peak and have a great celebration to honor it.

 

This mountain range is known as the Girnar Mountains in Gujarat. The Girnar Hills are located in Gujarat's Junagadh district. Raivataka is a spiritual mountain.

According to the Jains, Lord Neminath, Narayana Shri Krishna's elder brother, receives salvation from here. It's located near Bhavnath, some 327 kilometers east of Ahmedabad and 10 miles east of Junagadh.

Both Jain and Hindu spiritual pilgrims must pay a visit to this venerated site. The mountain range is a center of religious activity in the middle of the beautiful green Gir Forest.

 

Vindhyachal

Central India's spiritual mountain ranges of Satpura and Vindhya run parallel to one another. The Satpura range is the longest of them all, and it's where rivers like the Narmada and Tapti originate.

Satpura and Vindhya are mostly established in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, with minor extensions into Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. According to the holy text, the sun ceased shining on the world, resulting in widespread destruction.

 

Humans and gods began appealing to Agastya Muni to lower the size of the spiritual Vindhya mountain to rescue humanity. For sunlight to reach the earth.

Agastya is preventing Vindhyachal.

Everyone prayed that because Vindhya Parvat is your student and respects and honors you, he will not listen to you if you ask him to shrink his stature. Everyone pleaded with Agastya Muni to give the Vindhya mountain to him to reduce it in size.

 

At everyone's request, Agastya Muni went to the mountain. If the sunshine does not reach Vindhyachal Mountain, the people who live on that side will be in many difficulties. And use your power and knowledge to defend everyone.

 

Aravali

The spiritual peaks In western Bharat, the Aravali range may be found. The Aravalli mountain range, also known as the Adavala mountain range within the reserve, is the Republic of India's oldest mountain range, going back to when Gondwana Land existed.

It is the world's oldest mountain range, and it divides Rajasthan into two sections, one in the north and the other in the south. During the Satyuga era, it was first found (4.5 million years). In Mount Abu's Sirohi area, Guru Shikhar (1722/1727 m) is found. For hundreds of years, the Bhil tribe has resided close to the Aravalli spiritual mountains.

 

Because the world's oldest mountain range, the Aravalli Range, is spiritual. Gurushakhar is the tallest summit. Mount Airways is crossed by the Luni River, and the Aravalli spiritual range is rich in natural resources (and minerals) and serves to prevent the expansion of the western desert.

The Banas, Luni, Sakhi, and Sabarmati are just a few of the major rivers that originate here. All of these rivers are essential to the desert's survival. The Aravali Mountain Range is a spiritual mountain range.
