Who was the woodpecker? Why did he make holes in the Shami tree?

It is not possible to tell exactly when the Woodpecker made this cavity in the lower part of the bent part of Shami's strong and thick branch, which was thick enough to fit both his arms because father had never seen the Woodpecker, which they called a woodpecker in their language.  Were there, never heard him knocking on Shami.  But it was certain that he had made the hole.  I also did not see the woodpecker setting up its camp on this Shami. Perhaps it might have gone somewhere else after eating termites and other insects from under the dry trunk of the tree.  So do woodpeckers make cavities in trees only for other birds?  To calm the waves in my mind, I asked the elders in the village, and they told me that the woodpecker stays in the cavity made by himself for many days and after it leaves, other birds make their homes in it.  At most places, I have also seen the Ring-necked Parakeet and its family living in the cavities made by the Woodpecker.

When Father used to plow the fields, he would rest the bulls in the shade of Shami for some time and then let them rest there for a few moments.  Whenever there was sowing and harvesting in the field, Father would offer incense to the Shami tree along with the gods.  This was his process every year. One day I asked him, 'You never offer incense to other trees, then why only to Shami?  ''Who Shami?  ' he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.  ' Oho!  Shami meaning.  'I forgot his name, then told him with a hand gesture.  Then with great surprise, he said, 'Khejri?  'I suddenly remembered and said, 'Khejri.  ' 'Well!  You did not tell that why you offered incense to Shami… I mean why do you offer incense only to Khejri?  'He had a detailed explanation of this question of mine.  The meaning is that he belonged to the Aquarius zodiac sign and Khejri is considered to be related to Shani Dev, which is why Shami was considered a divine tree and worshiped it.

Whenever Shami starts withering a little in strong sunlight or less rain, it seems that Saturn's power has weakened!  Due to this, he used to pour more water into Shami's roots and his father left this world before time.  After his departure, the responsibility of managing the fields fell on my shoulders, but after his departure, the work of plowing the fields with oxen was never done. While leaving, my father instilled a fear in me.  Coincidentally, I also had the Aquarius zodiac sign, so it was my responsibility to offer incense and water to Shami, so I kept doing this work with great dedication.  Over time, a tube well was installed on the farm and a stream of water was released near Shami so that it remained green.  A year back, a Rufous Woodpecker had come to live in Shami's hut.  It was a little different from Hudhud, but it had a crest on its head like Hudhud.  Looks exactly like gold.  It was spreading shine.  I have never seen such a woodpecker before.  A red-ringed shark was already living in that cavity.  'Instead of establishing their monopoly on Kotor, both of them were living with great love.  One night I had a wonderful dream.  Rainy days were about to arrive.  She had also become soft after bathing in the rain.

The woodpecker slowly made so many small holes all over the tree That Shami's different geography was beginning to appear.  There must be around a thousand holes.  Even before winter came, the woodpecker had started collecting acorns in those holes. This oak fruit, which is called Banjphal in the villages, fits perfectly in those holes.  Seeing the woodpecker doing all this, Shuk was surprised and asked, 'Why are you collecting so many acorns?'  ' ' See!  The part of Shami which falls in this part, all the acorns on that side will turn into gold in the strong flow of winter.  And the other side will be useful for your food in winter.  ''In gold!
Is this possible?  ' Doubt arose in Shuka's mind.  'What is not possible in the universe?  ' Woodpecker reassured Shook.  ' what will you eat?  ' Shuk asked.  'I will leave from here as soon as winter sets in.  ' He replied.  Shuk found that the woodpecker was very elusive and mysterious.  'About five hundred gold coins!  'I jumped with great enthusiasm, then my golden dream was shattered.  A few days later, I saw that the woodpecker had started making small holes in Shami. I remembered my father.  The wonderful image of him offering incense to Shami and sitting in its shade was floating in my eyes. Later, I started taking more care of Shami.
