Who (AMD vs INTEL) will be the future CPU market leader?

At one time only Intel dominates the processor market but now AMD has slowly taken over the processor market. In some cases, AMD now has complete dominance. It is now difficult for Intel to take that place. The reason, Intel can't take that place because AMD offers a more effective product than Intel at a reasonable price.

Some big problems with INTEL’s processor nowadays:

INTEL is using 5 years back technology. AMD already upgrade their processor and them upgrading gradually their technology. But still, INTEL is in 14-nanometer technology on the other hand AMD already upgrades their processor into 7-nanometer advanced technology. That’s why AMD's processor became famous day by day. So far it is true that INTEL gives better performance in gaming but AMD is trying to move forward.

AMD's new processor launch in October 2020, where they promise that they can beat INTEL with their new processor 5000 series. As opposed to INTEL's new processor rocket lake (11th generation) new launch, we still have no hope that they will upgrade their processor into lower nanometer technology. New processor buyers are turning to AMD for this.

INTEL new CPU

Another great problem with INTEL is ( MSI ) INTEL's Motherboard sockets are changing so fast according to their new processor. So, INTEL buyers can't easily change their processor because if they try to upgrade their processor, they also have to change their motherboard and it is a big costing problem. Where on the other hand ( Gigabyte ) AMD users can easily change on upgrade their processors without changing their motherboard.

Motherboard changing is a big headache because we have to open all the wires and other components in the casing. Also, some computer case doesn't support the same kind of motherboard (ATX, MICRO ATX, MINI ATX, etc.) for that problem the users get into a lot of trouble. So, users try to go with Intel.

RAM is a very important component of computers. (Team Co.) RAM speed is very important for a normal computer user and a gamer also a video editor. Day by day its speed increases. Though ram's speed doesn't affect so much and we can't see its effect on the computer. But people always try to stay up to date.  AMD users can easily use 3200 MHz ram on a cheap AMD based motherboard but we can see a big difference on the INTEL side. INTEL users need to spend a lot of money on a motherboard to use a higher speed RAM. That makes difference.

The processor that  AMD ryzen had launched in the 1000 and 2000 series, Intel already launched those kinds of processors with the same core and thread long ago. But the big difference is AMD launched those processors with higher technology and speed. If we think about Intel core i7-processors 1st generation, it has 4 cores and 8 threads. And still, we can see the same cores and threads in higher technology and upgraded processor.

AMD new feature

The difference is the technology is not the same. From the first generation to now the 10th generation Intel spends a lot of time but it can't give their user new technology in the last 5 years. According to AMD, now they only focus on their processor's features and technology . Before 2017 AMD was nothing in the desktop processor market but after 2017, it gradually takes processor market share from INTEL. They really work hard and focus on their processor and they already got the result in 2020. As opposed to INTEL lost their position in the CPU market. It must be said INTEL has no new feature in its processor for 5 years. They used their old feature and as a result, people now lose belief in INTEL.

CPU market share

(H3)Describe the
market_share: If we see the desktop processor market share chart or graph, we can easily notice that before 2017 the processor market was in INTEL possession. But when AMD lunch their new processor with new technology in 2017Intel gradually loses its possession of the desktop market. In 2016 INTEL share below 23% of the desktop processor market share. Suddenly it takes 30% of the market share in 2017 and until now it gradually increasing year by year. In 2019, it takes 42% market share, and yet (16 October 2020) it shares a 48% of the desktop processor market share.

These shares were once completely in INTEL possession. But it will be harder for INTEL to take back that market position. And the chances of getting back that position are very low. Before 2017, the desktop processor market share was owned by Intel. In 2016 it was 77% but in 2017 it suddenly decreased to 68%. Then in 2018 INTEL's processor market share decrease to 65%. AMD gives the biggest hits to INTEL in 2019. When INTEL's desktop processor market share just drops to 55% and at that time AMD's share increase to 48%. Till now (16 October 2020) INTEL's desktop processor market share is 52%.

(H4) conclusion:
INTEL was once the name of fidelity but slowly it is going down from its position. INTEL has to be more advance in its processor technology. It should avoid 14 nanometers technology in its upcoming processor. Otherwise, it will never be going back from the position INTEL belongs to.  On the other hand, AMD just improves its technology. Finally, we can say, if it continues like this and if INTEL does not act quickly INTEL will lose its leadership position and AMD will be the next LEADER of The Processor Market. (BoRoLoXD)
