5. Russia

Russia, featuring 1,218 international airports, became the only non-American country with the most airports. It will be surprising to know that Russia is among the biggest countries across the globe. The two most important airports in Russia are Moscow-Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO Airport code) and Moscow-Domodedovo Airport (DME Airport code). These two airports are often regarded as Russia’s busiest, having 40.1 million travelers per year.
