Where are air force training aircraft crashed in Chittagong

Chittagong Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed told Prothom Alo that two pilots of the training plane were saved by parachute during the accident.

According to the Sadarghat Naval Police, the training aircraft crashed into the Karnaphuli River along the banks of the Karnaphuli River. Direct flight between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan is going to start again. For this, the cabinet has approved the draft agreement on bilateral aviation.

The draft was approved in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday. The Cabinet meeting was held at the Prime Minister's office. Later in the afternoon, the Cabinet Secretary announced the decision of the meeting in a press conference at the Secretariat. Mahbub Hossain.The Cabinet Secretary said that under this agreement, direct air traffic operations will be started with Uzbekistan. It was launched in 1993 through an agreement. Then in 2005 it was closed. Now Uzbekistan expressed interest in starting afresh. In view of that, the two parties have drafted this agreement. This has been done in accordance with the latest international standards for bilateral aviation.A draft of the Antiquities Act 2024 was presented in the Cabinet meeting but it was not approved. After detailed discussion, it has been decided to modify some places. US-Bangla Airlines, one of the private aircraft operating companies of Bangladesh, is going to start operating flights to the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This flight will be operated on a daily basis from next August.

 

US-Bangla Airlines has given this information in a press release on Sunday. The company said it plans to operate regular flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia's second-largest city. A large Airbus 330-300 aircraft with 436 seats will operate on the Dhaka-Jeddah route.      Located on the shores of the Red Sea, the city of Jeddah is one of the top destinations in the Middle East and the main gateway to the holy city of Mecca. In a press release, US-Bangla said, US-Bangla has decided to operate daily flights on the Dhaka-Jeddah route to strengthen friendly relations with the brotherly state of Saudi Arabia. Through this, it will be possible to provide better passenger services to expatriates and working Bangladeshis in Jeddah. Besides, those who are going to perform Hajj and Umrah from the country will also get better transportation facilities.US-Bangla Airlines currently has a total of 24 aircraft in its fleet, including two Airbus 330-300s. In addition to all domestic routes, US-Bangla operates flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai and Kolkata. The company said US-Bangla is tailoring its flight schedule based on competitive fares and timing based on passenger preferences.
