Have you ever seen any superstitious movies? One example of a superstition is the belief that seeing a black cat brings bad luck. Never walking beneath a ladder is another example. Allow us to briefly discuss the definition, origins, and current applications of superstition before presenting you with the list.
The history of superstition explains how magic, prophecy, and divination were practiced in the ancient world and how their definition evolved. It has always been an intangible idea, only having a set meaning when compared to a more widely acknowledged point of view.
Superstition originated in ancient Greece in the fourth century BCE, and for the next two millennia, it was the opposite of the religious practices that those in power supported. The term has frequently been applied to activities that we still consider to be as magical or paranormal, even though the majority of these activities still exist in some form. Although definitions of the word still differ, superstitions are typically defined as illogical beliefs that are at odds with what science has learned about the world.
Superstition is a "presumed mechanism of action that is inconsistent with our understanding of the physical world," according to American psychologist Stuart Vyse.
Superstitions are referred to by some as folklore and other types of entertainment. Some superstitions, such as Friday the Thirteenth, "unlucky" black cats, and wishing upon a shooting star, are more difficult to fully understand and call for some background knowledge. These superstitions are also practiced by people due to ancient folklore. We were raised to believe the stories we were told about these superstitions because we were exposed to them at a young age.
If you're heading out on Friday the Thirteenth, one way to "counter" the effect of the superstition is to wear red or bring something red with you. Usually, this day occurs once or twice a year. People still experience such intense fear of it that some people get paraskevidekatriaphobia, or the fear of Friday the Thirteenth. Many possible explanations exist for why people fear this day, and Christianity plays a major role in many of them.
These days, superstitions appear in films, whether they play a significant or supporting role. We've listed a few movies below along with a synopsis.

Superstitious Cities
Let’s talk about superstitious locations in the world that you might be interested in visiting or coming back to.
Las Vegas
What about Las Vegas makes this city superstitious? There are six primary superstitions in poker alone that many players are aware of if they play the game. These six superstitions in poker are: "baby run good," wearing the same clothes, using card protectors, winning (the) first hand, switching seats (in cash games), and wearing the same clothes.
Winning (the) First Hand
In a cash game or tournament, players' reactions to being dealt pocket aces on the opening hand can vary from excitement to fear, with some choosing to fold the hand before the flop. Although folding is not recommended, the superstition that "it's unlucky to win the first hand" is still common.
Switching Seats
If you're not having much luck, try switching seats. It's probably not your night if your luck is still bad.
Wearing the Same Clothes
John Hesp's World Series of Poker 2017 suit and Sebastian Sorenson's nickname "scarf guy" following his €987K victory at the 2017 PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event are two well-known instances of odd clothing.
(Using) Card Protectors
Ever since the game's inception, poker players have used card protectors to guard against bad luck and stop hand flipping.
Lucky Charms
Johnny Chan's orange, which casinos used to mask cigarette smoke, wasn't a lucky charm meant to ward off bad luck. Players at poker bring lucky charms, toys, and jewelry to attract good luck.
Baby Run Good
In the poker world, "Baby Run Good" is becoming more and more well-known after Mike Leah won a $79K spin in the Deal Jackpot and Stephen Chidwick earned his first bracelet from the World Series of Poker. Since then, Chidwick has made over $13 million in 2019, maybe as a result of having his first child.
Hong Kong
The financial markets in Hong Kong are not exclusively dependent on stock market fluctuations and investment forecasts. Kowloon, which is dotted with stores and fortune-telling stands, is a popular tourist destination. In Hong Kong, superstitions are related to daily life, profit margins, and gift selections. One common superstition is the number four.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Unique customs like the "figa," a protective amulet, and other superstitions like entering and exiting places with the right foot first and using the same doorway for extra caution are examples of Rio de Janeiro's cultural diversity.
Moscow, Russia
Russia's capital, Moscow, has a long history of preserving its folk traditions. Travelers frequently witness instances of bad luck in the city, like people stepping over each other on a packed train or shaking hands through a doorway. Other superstitions include not cleaning up after other people and pausing in silence before departing.
Varanasi, India
Popular Indian tourist destination Varanasi is well-known for its unusual superstitions, such as the scientifically proven belief that hanging lemons and chilies in a business will bring good fortune.
