UNRWA Base camp
At UNRWA Base camp in Gaza City, journalists on the firmly accompanied trip entered a shaft close to a school on the fringe of the UN compound, plunging to the substantial lined burrow. A couple of moments of strolling through the smothering hot, thin and once in a while winding entry brought them under UNRWA Base camp, a military lieutenant-colonel driving the visit said. The passage, which the military said was 700 meters in length and 18 meters down, bifurcated now and again, uncovering side-rooms.

There was an office space, with steel safes that had been opened and discharged. There was a tiled latrine. One huge chamber was loaded with PC servers, one more with modern battery stacks. "Everything is directed from here. All the energy for the passages, which you strolled through them are fueled from here," said the lieutenant-colonel, who gave just his most memorable name, Ido. "This is one of the headquarters of the insight. This spot is one of the Hamas insight units, where they told the majority of the battle."

However, the Israeli military said Hamas seemed to have cleared notwithstanding the Israeli development, prudently removing correspondences links that, in an over the ground part of the visit, he showed going through the floor of the UNRWA Central command's storm cellar. It created the impression that weighty Israeli blasts and supported winter downpours may likewise have had an impact in the takeoff: A few stretches of the passage were obstructed with removed sand and knee-high water.

In a proclamation, UNRWA said it had cleared the base camp on Oct. 12, five days after the conflict started, and was in this manner "unfit to affirm or in any case remark" on the Israeli finding. "UNRWA … doesn't have the military and security mastery nor the ability to embrace military reviews of what is or may be under its premises," the assertion said. "Before, at whatever point (a) dubious pit was found near or under UNRWA premises, fight letters were quickly recorded to gatherings to the contention, remembering both the true experts for Gaza (Hamas) and the Israeli specialists."

UNRWA's allies say it is the main organization with the method for helping Palestinians in developing compassionate misery. Israel says the organization is "punctured by Hamas" and should be supplanted. Hamas has denied working in non military personnel offices. "We know that they (Hamas) have individuals working in UNRWA. We maintain that each global association should work in Gaza. That isn't an issue. Our concern is the Hamas," Ido told journalists.
