What is the meaning of friendship in our life: - Read a short story in the review.

It had been almost ten years since Ravi ji had retired from government service.  Retired from high government post.  There was a luxurious bungalow in the posh colony of the city.  He was survived by his wife Asha, son Deepak, daughter-in-law, and a ten-year-old grandson Monu.  Retired life was passing very comfortably.  In the morning Ravi Ji used to go for a morning walk, during the day he used to be busy with some small work at home or spend time with his grandchildren and in the evening he used to spend time with his friends.

One morning, when Ravi Ji came back for a morning walk, he saw a dog standing at the gate of the bungalow.  Seeing them, he wagged his tail and sat there.  Ravi ji felt that he might be hungry, he went inside the house and brought the remaining roti of the night and put it.  The dog sat there, ate the bread and looked at them as if showing gratitude and left.  The next morning when he came around, he saw that the same dog is standing at the gate again, he brought it inside and put it again, the dog ate the bread and went away.

Now it had become a daily routine, he would come for a walk, give bread to the dog, eat it, thank him by wagging his tail and leave.  Now Ravi Ji had also started making roti for the dog on a separate night.  An anonymous, silent bond was formed between him and the dog. If someday the dog doesn't come Then there was a look of restlessness on his face.  Everyone says brownie did not come today.  Yes, they named him Brownie because of his brown color.  And sometimes Ravi Ji would go out of the city for some work, then he used to go to the house saying that he must put bread on the brownie.

Ravi Ji's grandson Monu sometimes jokingly says - Dadu Brownie is your best friend.  He also used to laugh after listening to the grandson, as if agreeing with the grandson's point.  One night his health suddenly worsened, and the family members immediately took him to the hospital.  There was a massive heart attack.  of tireless efforts Despite this, the doctors could not save him.  It was a deep shock to the family.  His body was kept on the porch for the last glimpse, preparations were being made for the funeral procession.

Friends, relatives, and acquaintances were coming for the last glimpse.  Brownie stood outside the bungalow, looking at everyone in amazement.  Brownie would come and stand at the gate.  Brownie somehow managed to escape from the public eye, saw his body, and sat down there.  As soon as someone saw him, he ran away.  The funeral procession had begun.  Brownie was walking at the back, probably no one was paying attention to him.

A newspaper was buried in its claws.  When Deepak picked it up and saw it, it was a newspaper containing the news of Ravi Ji's Tiye, in which his photo was 1i.  After the last rites everyone returned home, but how long did Brownie sit near the pyre?  The next day Brownie was sitting sadly on one side at the gate of the bungalow, people were coming and going, but no one was paying attention to him.  Monu came out for some work, he saw the brownie, then brought a piece of bread from inside and put it in front of the brownie.  Brownie once looked at Roti, once at Monu, and sat down with his mouth pressed to his claws.  Brownie's eyes were fixed on the gate of the bungalow as if waiting for Raviji.

Now whenever Monu came out every day, he used to put a piece of bread on the brownie.  Tie's meeting was over, life was slowly coming back on track.  One morning when Monu came out, he saw that the brownie was inactive.  He immediately went inside, called his father, and brought it, when Deepak saw it, he came to know that Brownie had also said goodbye to this world to meet his breast friend.  Brownie was printed.  Don't know where he got the brownie from.

All the rotis put by Monu were lying under a nearby tree.  Today again a funeral procession was going out from Ravi Ji's place, in which all the members of the house and some relatives were involved, that was Brownie's funeral procession.  A large placard was hanging in front of the dead body, on which it was written, Tearful final farewell to Dadu's best friend.
