What is Shangri-La? How Shangri-La is the route to another world?

For a long time, various Indian and Tibetan intellectuals seekers have always mentioned the existence of place in the great Himalayas. It has often been reported that this place is home to many mysterious phenomena that cannot be explained using the science that we have managed to gather and develop till now.

Shangri-La: The Lost Horizon

We are referring to the "Shangri-La" which is often called as "Shambhala"  or "Siddhashram". A valley said to be found somewhere around the border between Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet. It is a Place which, some people believe, cannot be found geographically, but is a mental world. But, the most important fact is, it is not possible for a normal human being unless you are a spiritual seeker, to access or even enter this place.

It is believed to be a place where the 4th dimension exists. Time seems to stop and the inhabitants here can live as much as they wish or simply, forever! It is also believed that if you somehow enter this place, be it accidentally, you cannot return back to this world. The spirituality, life, thoughts, and intellect reach exceedingly high levels here. There's no sun, no moon to lit the sky but a strange and mysterious light that surrounds this world.

Shangri-La has been indirectly referred to as the "Spiritual Balancing Centre of Earth". You would end up completely exhausted if you attempt collecting the modern books and ancient texts that have a mention on this. That might be considered that it was just an imagination in some cases. But not just the Hindu texts or books of western authors, but the Tibetan Buddhist texts, monks, Chinese history, all claim the existence of this place! It was called "Aryavartha" or the land of worthy ones by the ancient Hindu scholars, Hsi Tien by the Chinese, and Belovoyde by the Russian old believers. There have been countless mentions of Shangri-La and that too by different names. "The land of Living Gods", "Forbidden Land", "The Land of White Waters", "The Land of Radiant Spirits", "The Land of Living Fire", "The Land of Wonders"

Hitler and Shangri-La

A lot many people have tried their efforts to discover the place but all in vain. Some of them actually didn't even return back! Even the infamous Nazi ruler Adolf Hitler was so desperate and wanted to locate Shangri-La and hence siege the place. Now, who would ignore Hitler's fascination for Sanskrit, Yoga, and his association with the sacred Hindu symbol "Swastika". Under his leadership, countless expeditions were sent to Tibet, to explore this mysterious world of immortals.

Mythology Behind Shangri-La

According to the legends, Shangri-La is only accessible to the pure souls, those with absolutely no evil  feelings. According to the Vishnu Purana, it is a land that holds the destiny of mankind and it is prophesied that the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, "Kalki" will take birth in Shangri-La and will lead to the end of this "Kal Yuga", removing all the evils from this world and that will mark the birth of a new "Sat Yuga".

Other Theories

Apart from James Hilton's "The Lost Horizon"Shangri-La has also been described in Arun Sharma's "The Mysterious Valley of Tibet" and also in a Tibetan book "Kaal Vigyana". It is claimed that the Chinese army too has tried a lot in exploring the valley but always failed to discover it.
