What is Science in every day life

Ever wonder how we stay cool when there are air conditioners, fans, and coolers around? Being naturally curious beings, humans find it fascinating to learn about the origins of events. But one of the most important problems that faced everyone was how to look into the traits of a certain species or object. Some scientists have brought several subjects under the general heading of science.

The human race has greatly benefited from science. As a rational being, man has conducted specialized research into environmental challenges that has produced a number of global discoveries. Environmental science is the study of the environment. Research is conducted on various scientific disciplines, such as physics, chemistry, and biology, in addition to studying organisms, substances and the chemicals, the force, the earth, plants and other topics.

Examples:

  • We use bicycles, bikes and cars, these are all invention of science.
  • We use soap, developed by science
  • We utilise LPG gas or stove for cooking, these are product of science

Basic science concepts in daily life

Vehicles:

The concept involved in the burning of the fuel is combustion. The fuel in the vehicles are burnt in order to get energy. The conversion of heat energy into electrical energy and mechanical energy takes place. Here physics and chemistry are involved.

Cooking:

Heat energy is transformed to the cooking vessel in the form of radiation, conduction and convection. Incredients like salt, sugar and some edible materials starts breaking bond and forms new bond. Here physics as well as chemistry is involved.

The food we consume when entering into our body undergoes chemical reaction which gives energy to our body. The chemically reacted food interacts with various cells. These cells transfer protein, carbohydrates and fat present in the food to our body through mechanism. Here chemistry and physics are involved.
