Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, former Supreme Court judge KT Thomas and former Lok Sabha deputy speaker Kariya Munda have been appointed trustees of the PM CARES Fund.

According to the prime minister's office, veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, former Supreme Court judge KT Thomas and former Lok Sabha Speaker Kariya Munda have been appointed as trustees of the PM CARES Fund. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the PM CARES Fund, which was attended by Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Shah and Sitharaman are trustees of PM Cares Fund. During the meeting, Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons; Justice KT Thomas, a former SC Justice, and Kariya Munda, a former Vice President appointed the new trustees of the PM CARES Fund

According to the PMO: 

The Trust has decided to appoint more eminent persons for the PM CARES Fund Advisory Board.

These notables include: Rajiv Mehrishi, former Comptroller and Auditor General of India; Sudha Murthy, former CEO of Infosys Foundation, and Anand Shah, founder of Teach for India and former CEO of Indicorps and Piramal Foundation. About PM Doctors: 

PM funds were created during Pandamic-19. The main purpose of the amount is to cope with a sudden form of or any problem, such as a contagious illness, and to reduce the feelings. The fund is made up entirely of voluntary contributions from individuals and has no budgetary support.

Ratan Tata, KT Thomas appointed directors of PM CARES

The union government has appointed industrialist Ratan Tata, former Supreme Court Justice K.T. Thomas and former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Kariya Munda as Trustees of PM CARES Fund.

 Debt of PM CARES Fund :-

The PM CARES Fund was launched on March 28, 2020, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The funds will be used for the fight, containment and relief efforts against the outbreak of the Coronavirus and similar disease situations in the future.

The president is the chairman of the trust. Members will include the ministers of defence, interior and finance.

The fund will also enable micro-donations. The minimum donation accepted is ₹10 (14¢ US).

Some intriguing facts about PM-CARES fund :-

PM CARES was created not by law or announcement, but by creating a simple web page, and was established last year in March to raise money for the patients affected by COVID-19.

The page lists its processes, functions and functions anonymously. Government requests for funds are made under the national seal.

The biggest lie in this statement is that the government has no control over the Fund.

 Other money 

 (1) National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) 

 NDRF is constitutionally established under the Disaster Management (DM) Act 2005.

The NDRF is mandated to be an official and accountable under the RTI Act, being a public authority and to be audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. 

(2) Disaster Response Funds 

The DM Act also provides for disaster response funding - funding at the state and local level (in addition to the national level).

 It collects and uses donations in the area, with mandatory understanding and monitoring. 

(3) Prime Minister's National Assistance Fund 

There has been a functioning PMNRF since the days of Jawaharlal Nehru. It was created through public donations to help refugees in Pakistan. Resources are now used primarily to provide immediate relief to the families of those killed in natural disasters and to victims of major accidents and riots.

However, the President of India and the Leader of the Opposition are also Trustees.
