The Project is at his start, but it seems really promising! The team is composed of Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis (Head of the technology), Dr. Chengdiao Fan (Head of product), and Vincent McPhillips (Head of the community). All these people come from Stanford and have a good background before this project.
The team's vision is to bring a new cryptocurrency that everyone can mine without effort, help secure the currency, and grow a big community with the same goal. The Pi hasn't a value yet; it will be backed by the time, attention, goods, and services offered by other network members.
The Pi community grows fast, just like the project. The first phase, Distribution, and Design, which allows the user to mine and accumulate the Pi, is near to finish. The second phase, The Testnet, which is the real blockchain in action for the test, deploys the Node software, which runs on a computer to secure blockchain transactions, as already started. And the third phase, The Mainnet, which is the last stage of the project and allow all the user to exchange Pi with the network, is near.
Some of the Pioneer (the first Pi users) as already make some transactions, more users can exchange Pi, and more Pi is available every day; it's only a matter of time before the Pi Network revolution!
