What is Neck pain?

  • Today we are seeing lots of problem in our body. Some of are because of our lazy habit. Due to our lazy habit one pain is most common in people. The name of the pain is neck pain. This is happening because of the bad posture of our body.
  • Pain located in the neck is a common condition.
  • Neck pain can come from a number of disorders and diseases and can involve any of the issues in neck.
  • Neck pain is also comes from rare infections such as infection of spine bone in the neck (Osteomyelitis) and meningitis.
  • Neck pain can also come from conditions directly affecting the muscles of the neck. It is also referred to as cervical pain. 

 

Causes of it?

Neck pain:

  • For examples of common conditions causing neck pain are degenerative disc disease, neck strain, osteoarthritis, cervical spondylosis, spinal stenosis, herniated disc, cervical radiculopathy.

Cause:

  • Poor posture.
  • Prolong time work in computer, laptop, mobile, etc.
  • Long time use mobile in bad posture.
  • Sleeping with your neck in a bad position.
  • Jerkey during your exercise movement.

 

What are the symptoms?

Common symptoms are dull aching pain. Sometimes pain in neck region worsened with movement of the neck. Other symptoms of neck pain include numbness, tingling,tenderness, spasm, sharps shooting pain, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, or lightheadedness.

  • It can also be associated with symptoms such as headache, facial pain, shoulder pain, radiating pain in the arm, forearm, hand and upperterapezitis pain.
  • Pain common in inflammation of spine from ankylosing spondylitis.

 

Diagnosis:

In diagnosis the cause of neck pain, it is important to review the history of symptoms. In medical history, the doctor will note the location, intensity, duration, and radiation of pain.

  • Any past injury to the neck and past treatment was noted.
  • The neck is examined at rest and in motion.
  • Tenderness is detected during palpation of the neck.
  • Further testing for neck pain can include X-ray evaluation, CT scan, bone scan, MRI scan,electrical tests such as EMG(Electromyograph) and NCV(Nerve conduction velocity test).

 

Treatment follow:

  • Local injection of artisan or anesthetics, topical pain-relief patches, muscle relaxants NSAIDS and surgical procedure.
  • Self-care treatment for neck pain relief exercise and stretches.
  • There are many treatment options, depending on the particular neck problem.
  • Alternative treatments that have been used for relief of chronic neck pain include acupuncture.

 

Treatment:

Common cause of neck pain, tr this treatment:

  • In case of acute condition 1 to 2-week use Jee application for 10 to 15 in apply whole day 3 to 4 times.
  • In case of  chronic condition after 3 weeks too long time use to heating modalities, electric heating pad, warm showers, soft collar traction , physical therapy.
  • Headscrund, massage, manipulation.
  • Muscle relaxant medicine-ibuprofen or acetaminophone.
  • Keep moving, but avoid jerking movement or painful activity during pain.
  • Take rest just because it reduces year inflammation.
  • If pain is not tolerable, use the soft collar. Don't use the collar for a long time. Doing so can make your neck muscles weaker.

 

How to prevent neck pain?

  • Use good posture for sitting and sleeping.
  • Adjust your desk, chair, and computer as the level of your eye and monitor is at the same level.
  • Avoid tucking the phone between your ear and shoulder when you talk.
  • If you smoke, then quit.
  • Avoid carrying heavy bags with straps over your shoulder.
  • Sleep good position and comfortably.

 

So, this all about the neck pain, now I'm frankly speaking some habit of commonly seen by my observation. 

If I'm talking about one common habit to sit is, we sit anywhere for any direction of our body, sometimes we pull up our leg and take it on others that affected on our spinal. In the next article, I'm talking about spinal pain kind of thing.
