What is International Women's Day Why is International Women's Day special?

If we really want to stop violence against women, then we will have to create such an environment in society in which the feeling of respect and security towards them is given full weight in the society. It will be necessary that we take the spirit of women's safety to every person and every street. Men and women of every age group should take a pledge that they should awaken in themselves the feeling of safety towards women in every situation. We will fulfill our responsibility in providing security to them.

A look at the figures:-

An average of 87 rapes and exploitations were recorded daily. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, this is shameful but true in India.

This has been stated in the report of the National Crime Records Bureau, which has increased by 7.3 percent in the cases registered against women as compared to last year.

Today we are celebrating the very important International Day for the Prevention of Violence against Women. ‘United Campaign’ is being run by the United Nations from the year 2008 to 2030. Despite this, the situation of women is not improving. According to statistics, every year about 25 million women become victims of violence at some time or another.

Considering the way women are mistreated in society, this day should be celebrated every day. So every person who is thinking of targeting women or is taking or thinking of taking violent steps against them is registered.

A favorable environment will be created:-

Today, the laws to prevent violence and abuse against women have become strict, there is also a provision for the death penalty, yet an environment of women's safety is not being created in the society. The cycle of violence and crime continues against them.

We have to create a conducive environment. Every man who is living in the world of women in the form of father, son, husband, friend neighbor or any relative should remember this day every hour and every moment. This will be possible only when he is so cultured that his conscience forces him not to think badly about women.

Be loyal to your resolution:-

All the heinous and heart-wrenching incidents that have taken place are not going to be silenced by calling them stigmatizing and shameful. Nor does it seem like it will end just by making strict laws and imposing a death sentence. We also have to make men especially aware of the laws made to prevent violence against women.

Start it from home itself:-

Explain this to your sons at an early age. This is important because some men abuse women to maintain extreme control. So if there is some doubt or because of assuming complete authority over women. They also try to deprive them of their rights. We have to make men aware of the laws made to prevent violence against women. This has to start from home itself.

If we can do this then crimes will definitely be controlled. So definitely discuss this day at home.

Men should not consider themselves superior:-

Never use violence against women to grind them in the mill of exploitation. Remember that every woman has self-respect and self-respect, it is important to protect it.

Create an environment in which there is no violence against women but instead, there is respect, talk about it openly, and break those notions that are affected by caste-based selfishness. As long as male chauvinism dominates the society, the trend of violence against women will continue, until we are free from male chauvinism, there will be violence against women. Without being free from all this, we cannot bring awareness to society. Men need to stop considering themselves superior.

Every woman has self-respect and self-respect; she can live her life without being dependent on anyone. Therefore, protect women but do not use violence/exploitation against them. The woman is complete and best in herself. She doesn't need a medal from a man.

Sense of empathy:-

It has also been found that if men are trained in domestic work or if they are taught domestic work from adolescence, then violence against women can be reduced. This is because effective steps will have to be taken not only through the education system but also at the domestic level. This will awaken the feeling of empathy in them.

Society should be one for both:-

Saint Kabir had said a long time ago that 'Don't ask about caste or ask the sages, buy knowledge and sheathe the sword'. Today, this couplet needs to be linked to the respect, work, and greatness of women. There is a need to see her as a mother, a sister, and a daughter and to respect her with a true heart and not by binding her to the rules of the female caste. Only then will our society be successful in overcoming women's harassment and violence against women?

We believe that today we will not only take a pledge but will also launch a resolution campaign for women's respect and safety. We will be successful in creating such an environment in which men are free from the mentality of controlling women. This society should be equal for both.
