What is Giant planet and which planet is giant in our Solar system?

The Jupiter is the largest planet of solar system we called it giant planet. Caption

Giant planet.

A planet with above 10 Earth masses is defined as a giant planet. They are characterized by their large mass, low density, and extensive atmosphere. Our Solar system has four known giant planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune- also called ' Gas Giant.' https://www.Wikipedia.com/giant planet.inAnd Uranus and Neptune are also called ' Ice Giant

.'

The Great red spots on Jupiter.

The great red spot on Jupiter is a huge Strom of swirling gas, similar to the worst hurricanes on earth, that has lasted for hundreds of years. It appears brownish-red and is so huge that it can envelope three Earth within its boundaries.

Do The Giant planets have seasons like those on our earth?

Jupiter rotates too fast for seasonal variations, while at the same time, its axis is tilted only 3°, which is not enough to cause season. Since Saturn's temperature range between - 191 to - 130°C, even it's the warmest summer are very cool, and hence season, as we know them, do not exist. Uranus' unusual tilt [98°] makes its polar regions hotter and brighter than the equatorial region. Each pole gets around 42 years of continuous sunlight, followed by 42 years of darkness, with an axial tilt of 28.32°; Neptune experiences seasonal changes similar to those on Earth. But, due to the long orbital period of Neptune, each of its seasons lasts for forty Earth years.

The planet which is the largest moon in the solar system

Our Solar system's largest moon - Ganymede - belongs to Jupiter. With a diameter greater than that of the planet Mercury, Ganymede is the only moon known to have its own magnetic field. Jupiter's four largest moon - lo, Europa, Ganymede, and Calisto - are together called the ' Galilean Moons' since they were discovered by Galileo Galilee in 1610.

Volcanoes of Jupiter.

Some volcanoes on Jupiter's moon lo eject material at a speed of up to 1km/second - about 20 Time Faster than the volcanoes on Earth .

The other giant planets outside our solar system.

Scientists believe that are many gas giant, orbiting other Star outside our Solar system's. these giant planets are called ' extrasolar planets.' 79 Ceti ( also known as HD 16141 b) is an extrasolar planet', orbiting its star every 75 days. Found on March 29, 2000, with HD 46375 b, it became the joint first know extrasolar planet to have minimum mass, less than the mass of Saturn. Many of the extrasolar planets' are believed to be much closer to their parent's stars and hence much hotter than gas giants in our Solar system.

Why are Uranus and Neptune called ' Ice Giant'?Compared to Jupiter and Saturn's interiors, composed mainly of helium and hydrogen , Uranus and Neptune have only about 15% hydrogen and a little helium . Uranus and Neptune are primarily composed of various ices, including water, methane, and ammonia .their cores are quite similar to those of Jupiter and Saturn; however, They lack the liquid metallic hydrogen envelope present in the other two Giant Giants. For these reasons, Uranus and Neptune are also called ' Ice Giant

.'

the planet was the first to be discovered with a telescope

Discovered in 1781 by the English astronomer William Herschel, Uranus was the first planet' to be discovered with a telescope.https://paidforarticle.com/giant planet. Despite being visible to the naked eye from Earth, it was never recognized as a planet by ancient observers because of its dimness and slow orbit.
