What is Creativity and Life

Let's be honest here to say we live in a fast-paced world is to say nothing at all. Today, more than ever, we need an escape, some sort of getaway. One way to detach yourself from the frenzy of everyday life is to try and occupy your brain with some kind of creative activity. It can be difficult to motivate yourself to do it on your own, especially with some distractions and, frankly speaking, much easier choices at our fingertips. Mindless scrolling on the sofa being one of them.

So, what's the remedy?

Unleashing Creativity

To each their own, as the saying goes, but we believe one of the best ways to "force" yourself into doing something more productive (and creative), is to join a group. Group activities can be a great way to meet new people, get a little taste of a different atmosphere and change your typical environment. A creative workshop might be the perfect choice - you've got your work laid out for you. The whole activity is planned from A to Z - all you have to do is show up and follow instructions (at least to some extent). That will be more than enough to invigorate your creative spirit. Great thing about that is the more you do it, the easier it is for your brain to get creative. And this carries over to your everyday life. It's like physical training, but instead of stronger muscles, you unlock creativity and imagination, while learning a new skill.

Collaboration and Connection

Some of us have a really hard time getting out of our shells. But it's good for our mental health to try new things every now and then. Creative workshops and activities are of the best use of your time. They foster collaboration and help build relationships and connections among participants. Sharing this kind of experience, the teamwork, exchange of ideas - all of that creates a strong bond and a sense of belonging. This just might be your place in the world. You get a chance to grow in an inclusive and supportive environment. You work on your communication skills, learn to appreciate other people's opinions and draw inspiration from these interactions.

What is out there for me?

There are plenty of interesting choices out there, doesn't matter what you're into – a floristry workshop, a painting class, willow weaving. We put together a short list of different types of creative workshops you might want to check out. Our favourites are definitely the ones that can be enjoyed surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Growth

Creative workshops can truly be a stepping stone in your journey towards creativity and a happier life. They don't just offer a way to express yourself or a new hobby - their benefits extend far beyond what's palpable. You grow as a person, and learn how to talk and work with other people, which, let's be frank, is a great skill to have in a professional environment. Finally, your well-being. This can easily be the creative outlet you've been looking for.
