What is Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

What is COVID-19?

Coronavirus made with protein. Usually, the virus has 'DNA' composition, but Coronavirus has an 'RNA' structure. Most Coronaviruses spread as other cold viruses spread:

Common symptoms:

1. Dry cough, 2. Fever, 3. Tiredness

Other symptoms:

1.  shortness of breath

2. ache of pains

3.sore throat

History of Novel Coronavirus:

COVID-19 discovered in the late 1960s. The first discovered virus name was infectious bronchitis virus in chickens and the other two in human patients with typical cold in 2019. The most common act is respiratory tract attacks.

Origin:

'Corona' word derived from the Latin word "crown" or "wreath." The name refers to the virus character because it is an inactive form of the virus.

Life cycle:

In the first stage, Coronavirus enters your body through the mouth, ear, etc. Then start attaching to your cells, sometime after the virus go to the RNA modifying process. Virus replaces your RNA to Coronavirus's RNA. Then they use your cells as host.

Coronavirus can only survive in the inner human body for an extended period.

Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2):

This virus isn't that deadly than other viruses. Because of respiratory illness, it named SARS-Cov-2. Firstly it reported in China's Wuhan city in December 2019.

The current death rate in the worldwide- 3400 deaths, Coronavirus cases- 723732, Recovered- 151,831.

While it has bee reported the virus might have originated in a food market in Wuhan, the World Health Organization says not enough is known about the epidemiology of the strain of Coronavirus.

The coronavirus incubation period is still unknown. But WHO assumes it is about 14days. They are not aware if people are contagious during the incubation period, or how long it can survive on surfaces.

Survived on the common surface:

1. Air- 3 hours

2.Copper- 4 hours

3.cardboard- 24 hours

4.Steel- 2-3 days

5.Plastic- 3 days or above

Infected from a surface:

If you will touch on the surface with Coronavirus, than it is not necessary to immediately infected you. If you immediately wash your hand sope and not touch your mouth or nose and eyes, then you cannot be infected. Dr. Anthony Facui, director of the National Institue of Allergy and Infectious Disease, explained during the 2020 March 13.

When considering the viability of a virus substances, it is probably measured ina doorknobs and cellphone screens-when you can; he cautioned against worrying about money and mail.

Pregnancy:

The more serve versions of Mers and Sars coronavirus can be severe. There are cases in which women infected with MERS had a stillbirth in 2014. But there is no confirmation about the pregnancy, is it dead or not.

Other Animals:

Cats can catch SARS. But none of the infected casts developed symptoms, according to the study. Feline infections, peritonitis, or FIP, can cause flu-like symptoms for cats, but it will be severe to cats' organ failure, but it is not contagious. It will not spread from animal to animal or person to person.

"PCC" that can impact cats and dogs can be deadly to dogs.

For people living with or affected by non-communicable diseases:

1. People of all ages can be infected by the new Coronavirus (COVID-19).

2. The risk of becoming severely ill with the virus appears to increase if you are 60+.

3. People with the pre-existing non-communicable disease(NCDs)also appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus. These NCDs include:

       1.Cardiovascular disease, 2.Chronic respiratory disease, 3.Diabetes, 4.Cancer.
