What actually means being civilized

As we are children we think adopting trifles to be civilized. Like riding bikes, driving costly cars, having lots of money to buy things, travel all over the world, wearing costly dresses, eating dishes we like, doing anything we love. But Mrs x who abuses you and tease you  but wear expensive dress and having lots of money, rides on bikes, and babies also wear beautiful

dress and love to visit world, so are these people Mrs x and babies civilized?

When we read stories of Arabian knights having wealth, servants, palaces and many costly things and dresses like satin and jewells, we think them civilized and others having not these facilities uncivilized.

When we read plays of Shakespeare and other famous writers we think them civilized as people love their plays and articles, although some doesn't like them.

But what actually is being civilized. A person who has lots of money, expensive houses, travel on planes but never helps a needy person, doesn't give alms to begger, having proud on being wealthy, doesn't respect anyone, always shout abuses on other poor and weaker people, is that person can be called civilized?

As we grow we start thinking broader. We ignore those things that makes us famous appearantly. We hate those people who are wealth, good looking, wearing expensive dresses, sandles, having costly phones and cars but having bad nature and proud.

So a person who has sympathy for others, helps needy people, respect elders, loves children ,cares for neighbors, never violate laws of government or society,he is actually civilized person even if being poor wearing cheap clothes, travelling on foot, living under shades.

So we never judge a person civilized by seeing him appearantly as these qualities have less something to do with it. But having good manners and better qualities matter a lot for being civilized. Now I'm hoping that people would think about being civilized is in real.
