Uses and abuses of mobile phone

A mobile or a cell phone is an electronic telecommunication device which is entirely portable and wireless. In 1946 in sweden Swedish police used it. But it was not a portable set. First truly portable set was invented in 1983. The invention of mobile phone is a great achievement. It is available at any time any where. It plays important part in our daily life. The mobile phone has now become a fashion object, with users decorating, customizing, and adding different accesssories to their mobile phones to reflect their personality. People have made mobile phones into status symbols instead necessity especially young boys and girls. It is a matter of great prestige when they carry the latest models.

Somehow there are some abuses of mobile phones. It contributes in increasing crimes. Snatched cell phones often used by criminals. Mobile phones with camera cause privacy issues, It is radiations may be dangerous to health. They may cause headache, earach, and blur vision. Mobile phone etiquettes has become an important issue with mobiles ringing at funerals, weddings, movies and plays. Users often speak at increased volume, with little regard for other people nearby. Another controversial but more lethal concern is the correlation with road traffic accidents. One can see every second person on the road with a crooked and half tilted neck either driving a car or riding a motorcycle.

Despit all these abuses of cell phones, one cannot deny the use of mobiles as they help in emergency condition. If used judiciously, wisely and with public etiquette, mobiles can be of great use. It is indeed upto us to let it guide our lives or to allow our sense of reason to control the right use of technology. Mobile is the major modren invention of the world. It is an easy source of entertainment, news, information and different educational programme.
