According to a recent Lancet Commission report, the incidence of prostate cancer in India is expected to rise substantially by 2040, indicating that many Indian men, like him, are receiving late-stage diagnoses and passing away from the illness.

Prostate cancer incidence in India is predicted by the International Agency for Research on Cancer to double to approximately 71,000 new cases year by 2040; Lancet has taken these forecasts into account in its analysis.
