Delhi: This time after a gap of 137 days, it finally happened today. Today, state-owned oil companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel drastically. Today i.e. on Tuesday, when there was a strong increase in the price of petrol per liter in 80 countries, diesel also became expensive per liter in 78 countries. The government also increased domestic gas prices (LPG price hike) by Rs 50. The price of petrol at Delhi Petrol Pump reached Rs 96.21 per liter on Tuesday, while diesel also came down to Rs 87.47.
Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.15 in September
last year, since November last year, the prices of petrol have remained stable. However, post-poll in some states including West Bengal, and post-poll petrol prices in some states, which started rising from the last days of September last year, continued even before Diwali. Petrol became costlier by Rs 8.15 per liter in a few days. Meanwhile, the central government had made some cuts in the central consumption tax. However, its prices have been stable since November 7.
Diesel became costlier by Rs 9.45 last year
, after last September, the diesel market grew faster than the petrol market. From a commercial point of view, manufacturing diesel is more expensive than gasoline. But in the open market of India, petrol is sold at high prices, and diesel is sold at low prices. The diesel fire that started here on September 24 last year was stopped after the excise duty was reduced. Diesel became costlier by about Rs 9.45 from September 24 to Diwali 22.
LPG prices also increased
Along with the rising prices of petrol and diesel, the government has also increased the prices of domestic gas (LPG Price Hike Today). The government has increased the price per cylinder by Rs 50. Now the cost of one cylinder will be Rs 949.50. The first national bottle price of 14.2 kg increased after October 2021.

Crude oil rises again
